Ushta (5e Deity)
[edit]
Alignment. Neutral
Domains. Fertility, Birth, and Growth
Divine Rank. Lesser Deity
Mother Goddess who is also worshipped as the goddess of parenthood or harvest as she does bless all births. She is a true neutral blessing all birth including the birth of gods to demons, holding no side or care for alignment. The only motivation for her is the continuation of life thus any prayer for birth is likely answered. Despite being a lesser god she has absolute power over the birth of higher deities, though she does not exploit this power some gods fear her ability that can stop the cycle, do to this reason she hides in her domain unknown to anybody. She is half omnipresent with knowledge of who is about to be seeded and blesses birth to happen, but she also has her creation birthed from the essence of nature and her power of growth. These creatures have no name but her followers call them seedlings. Seedlings roam free in the mortal world allowing plants and animals to grow, they are usually invisible to unblessed eyes.
The appearance of Ushta is unknown even to other deities where for her followers they depicted her as a robed women with shaded facial feature holding a sickle and a severed umbilical cord. It could be said that she is a goddess cloaked in mystery thus the robed appearance from her followers.
She does not have many followers and her relationship with her followers is rather strange compared to other deities. Some of her believers calls her the silent goddess as none of her believers have heard her voice, but this does not mean she does not give anything. By becoming her follower you get the trait of making plants grow slightly faster near you and gaining experience slightly faster for her follower, which on its own is a good benefit but this is just the basic blessing given to all her followers. As a followe of fertility, birth, and growth your help in giving birth through medical or healing is blessed and you are given 1 charisma score and if you do not already can cast healing word. Believers of Ushta do not have a temple for birth happens anywhere so the place of birth itself becomes a temple. she offers her blessing to the people in the place of birth temporarily.
She has no known stories, favored weapon, or artifact but she gives blessing that allows those who are blessed by her to use some of her spells.
