Welcome Wrecan. Looking forward to your campaign setting! Looks nice. See ya. --Jay Freedman 18:24, 26 August 2009 (MDT)
Just noticed that the welcome message says I'm site owner. You're probably aware that I'm not. Just copied site owners Green Dragons welcome message template and pasted it. Oopps.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   15:51, 21 June 2011 (MDT)

Poisons[edit]

Hey there, just wanted to say hi and thanks if you're the Wrecan who created the variant poison costs. I still use them in my 3.x games, and they're a part of my regularly used house rules (3rd from the top). --Ghostwheel 14:50, 23 August 2009 (MDT)

That's me! I'm glad you found them useful! --Wrecan 15:08, 23 August 2009 (MDT)
The rules look very, very interesting, but as far as I can see, the formulae are missing from the pricing section. :(
Could they be made available again please? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.78.178.14 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.
I can't edit that thread anymore. I'll see what I can do. --Wrecan 22:35, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
I moved these rules to Poisons, Variant (3.5e Variant Rule). Enjoy!

Math Correction[edit]

Thank you. An excellent set of rules. I do have a couple of questions however. First, doing the math on Nitharit I keep arriving at 945 rather than 650 and on Burnt Outher Fumes I keep arriving at 1820 not 2940. Are these number mistaken? Everything else checks out perfectly. Second, why in the pricing formula are the initial effects of venoms halved and again why in the pricing formula are the seconardary effects of inhalants and ingested halved? I am struggling to grasp the reason. Thanx again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.78.178.14 (talkcontribs) 01:15, 2 May 2010 (MST). Please sign your posts.
You are correct on the math. I'll change those amounts. As for the pricing, venoms are used in combat. So their initial effect is most important to the creature using the venom. The secondary effect is often irrelevant because the combat is likely to be over before the minute ends. in contrast, if you are using an ingestant or inhalant, it is because the assassin is looking for time to get away, so the initial effect is likely to be less important than the secondary effect.--Wrecan 18:32, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, that makes sense. But then are formulae, as written, reversed? Venom's initial effect should be worth more not less and toxin's initial effect should be worth less not more (with evident consequences for the pricing as written also).
Inhalant or Toxin: 5 × (DC-10) × (Initial CL + ½ Terminal CL) × Other Qualities
Venom: 5 × (DC-10) × (½ Initial CL + Terminal CL) × Other Qualities"

God, it's been so long since I did this. I only remember the formula were supposed to approximate the prices in the SRD. I can'te remember the rationale. Sorry.--Wrecan 01:28, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Patronage[edit]

I keep jumping in and out of your CS. It looks good so far. I can't wait for you to finish it. Cheers! --Jay Freedman 16:43, 3 September 2009 (MDT)(dying of anticipation...)

I notice some pages you label as (Patronage Supplement) and others you label as (Patron Supplement). Is there some distinction between the two? --Badger 17:07, 22 June 2011 (MDT)

No. I labeled some "Patron Supplement" before Green Dragon corrected me and told me it should be "Patronage Supplement". I'm too lazy to fix the wrongly named ones.--Wrecan 17:11, 22 June 2011 (MDT)

WotC Forums[edit]

Hi Wrecan. First, sorry for the confusion on your campaign setting. Trying to figure that out now. Secondly, and you should have gotten a MOI on this, we came up with a template for users who wish to to put on their user page that tells other users that you are a WotC Forums user and provides a link to your profile, to facilitate contact and community involvement. Anyways, that template can be found at Template:WotCForums and if you want to add it to your page the coding is {{Template:WotCForums|<!--- wizards' username --->}}. Not mandatory, but up to you!   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   17:41, 5 September 2009 (MDT)

Thanks! I put the template on my page. --Wrecan 05:30, 6 September 2009 (MDT)

Featured Article Nomination[edit]

Just a head's up that the campaign setting you work on has been nominated for featured article status!   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   07:19, 28 August 2011 (MDT)

Awesome! Thanks!--Wrecan 07:30, 28 August 2011 (MDT)
