Blarg[edit]

Just commenting to myself that I need a more structured research method. Any comments would be appreciated, as I really only write it all down in notebooks (which I can then never find). Chimandera 23:30, 20 September 2009 (MDT)

Who is this?[edit]

My username is Chimandera, which is the word chimera split in the middle with and thrown in. (A chimera is and this creature and that creature; I really like the character Zelgadis of Slayers fame.) I am an avid fan of user-created material. If you have any questions or suggestions or would like to criticize me (constructively, please) about any of my work, you may feel free to talk to me.

Personal Information[edit]

Otherwise, I am a 25 year old female gamer with approximately four years of tabletop experience and a "desperate need!" to bend the rules in my own way. I usually play female characters (there are no other women in my group) and I enjoy spellcasters, mostly bards and sorcerers. I also enjoy board games, watching TV (mostly anime and children's shows), reading comics (anything by Jhonen Vasquez, Roman Dirge or Frank Miller) and annoying folk with my "vastly superior" spelling talent and vocabulary. My mother is an English teacher, so I ended up with a bad reputation for this particular "talent" early on in life. As you may have noticed, I enjoy parentheses.

I married my DM in June of 2009... yeah. That's all that needs said.

I would love to work together with anyone who needs help on their projects, if they wish to contact me about it. I usually get an 'A' in enthusiasm.

Characters[edit]

Taking a page from Valentine the Rogue's book, these are my characters. In no particular order:

  • Elizabeth "Buffy" Purdy, bard 7/chorister 7 (War of the Lance), human. Buffy is my all-time favorite character; she is a child prodigy in music, and at age 13 has the most complicated character sheet I have ever seen. Buffy has three negatives, one +0 and a +5 in her Charisma, is terrified of thunderstorms and enjoys spending her spare time at the Temple of Takhisis[1] her adventuring group helped to build. She is not Evil at this time, but that will surely change (Takhisis is a Lawful Evil goddess). She has a massive scar on her chest from taking her full HP damage from a party member (while attempting to stop his chaotic killing) and wears cutesy, brightly-colored clothing in constrast to the other members who wear dark clothing. She also carries around two chickens (Mrs Bawk Bawk and Mr Cluckles) who were successfully (against the odds) trained to be watch-chickens by the group barbarian.
  • Roberta "Bluejay" Purdy, fighter 2/sorcerer 6/rogue 4, human. This is Buffy's mother. Bluejay came to the "current world" via a portal, convenient for her as she was fleeing from an arranged marriage and her noble parents. Bluejay struck up a rapport with the group's multi-personality cleric Tovare/El Wappo[2] and began a relationship. Throughout the adventure she was found stripping at a local club, making out with a vampire lord (Devlin, who became her mortal enemy) and was involved in an incident where a tavern burned down. She learned to be a pirate captain from Captain Randall of the Blue Lady and had her own ship, named the Dannemand[3]. After rousing adventures, she vacationed on a deserted island and then found herself pregnant by El Wappo; she moved to Moloness and became a diplomat to raise her child, Elizabeth. (Tovare/El Wappo was left in some nameless port along the way; she believed he would not be able to raise a child with her.) She has been retired.
  • Nunah Sheremet-Zolan, cleric 1, human. Nunah is a doctor, a cleric of Olidammara and a prostitute. The whoring about came around as part of an adventure (that she recieved no experience from) where she met a fighter named (imaginatively) Thor. Thor proceeded to whore her out to (pirate) Captain Randall who turned him down, but his crew member Connor Zolan took the offer. Nunah has been married to Connor for a few months now, working as a doctor aboard the Blue Lady. She has been retired from my personal use, though I still play her indirectly when interacting with Connor.
  • Lenore Deaxtrive, sorcerer 9/loremaster 3, human. Lenore is, of course, named after Bill Dauterive's wife from King of the Hill[4] (and true to that, she is around 38 years old). She was the "I can do that!" person who worked aboard the Blue Lady for a while, until an adventure arose where she took the opportunity to become a vampire by Lord Devlin's father (see Bluejay). Now faced with infinite life, she spends her time skulking around a library and studying furiously. She has been retired.
  • Kira Pendangle, sorcerer 3, half-elf. Kira was a hateful character to play; she spent most of her time praying for people to Pelor and announcing she would "save their souls" by conversion. She was as enthusiastic as a cheerleader and was retired after one game.
  • Farah Digoona, paladin 3, human. Farah was short-lived; she traveled with Thor and the group (before Nunah came along) and attempted to clean out a castle infested with goblins. Said goblins killed her, and due to her being such a bad paladin, I retired her and chose not to have her resurrected. Farah has an older sister (Dinah) and brother (Pietr) who were never introduced into her roleplaying.
  • Isonnë, sorcerer ???, alterkinder. I wanted to play a doppelgänger character, and came up with a half-human, half-doppelgänger (called an Alterkinder) named Isonnë or Sunny for short. Unfortunately she was not as well-played as I had planned and left the main group to pursue other options. Part of the problem with Sunny was that she was a cruel and calculating bitch who changed her appearance on a dime, and this made the others confused and hurt. She has been retired.

I also feel I should mention my very first character Velle Trouladuula. Velle was a fey (I never got the race characteristics quite right) based on my Unseelie fey character Velle from Materia Magica[5], a MUD. She was Lord Devlin's consort for many years (based on my former relationship with the player who played him) and eventually disappeared into the night. Velle has a future in her granddaughter Valarie, who is part-fey, part-vampire, and half-human (don't ask), and I would like to keep them all in retirement.

Future Characters[edit]

I would like to play a Native-American character named Little Deer. I have the character sheet for Little Deer made up and plan on playing her in the near future.

I also would like to expand on Nunah's family, with her older sister Poor Nell[6] (Gwinne Sheremet). Nell was abducted as a young woman and trained in the arts of acrobatics (as she was essentially sold to the circus[7]).

My Work On Wiki[edit]

Right now I only have one finished project. I would like for my pages to be fully complete (through my own editing) before introduction on the Wiki, therefore I only have the one completed at this time.

  • The Ganteka-inspired 20 More Curses page.
  • I am currently working on the Diseases page. I dedicate the Adentitis page to my mother, who suffered it when I was younger.
