Urban Tabaxi (5e Race Variant)
From D&D Wiki
Tabaxi Variant[edit]
The Tabaxi that were born in the big cities had to learn the hard way to deal with crime and the not so friendly guards. They are especially sneaky on their ways through the dark corners and rooftops as they develop a more convincing language to get away from trouble when running is not an option.
Due to conditions in the city they are now of shorter stature by about 1 foot. Additionally, due to dietary restrictions, their base ability score increases are swapped, and they have lost both the Feline Agility, and Cat's Claws traits.
Abilities. Your Charisma score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Alignment. Tabaxi tend toward chaotic alignments, as they let impulse and fancy guide their decisions. They are rarely evil, with most of them driven by curiosity rather than greed or other dark impulses.
Size. Tabaxi range from under 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall, with males generally being taller and more robust than females. Your size is Medium.
Nine Lives. You can fall for 10 feet without suffering fall damage, and up to 30 feet taking only half damage.
Pounce. As a bonus action, you can leap up to 20 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see that is within 5 feet of a creature. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Cat's Grace. Being accustomed to the tall buildings of the city, you have a climbing speed of 30. In addition, you are proficient in the Acrobatics and Stealth skill.
City Talk. Because of the usual miscreants and the usual blaming, you have proficiency in the Persuasion skill.
