Unyielding Infliction

Prerequisites: Ability to cast Inflict Wounds spell
In the shadows of the arcane, your mastery of necrotic magic manifests in the Unyielding Infliction. With each dark incantation, you bind your foe in a web of relentless torment, draining their vitality while bolstering your own. The darkness obeys your will, forging a connection that transcends the physical realm. Beware, for once ensnared, escape is nigh impossible, and the tendrils of your dark magic tighten with each passing moment.

  • As a boon of your relentless pursuit, you gain one additional free use of the Inflict Wounds spell per long rest.
  • Each time you successfully hit a creature with the Inflict Wounds spell, you create a dark link between yourself and the target. This link is maintained as long as you concentrate on the Inflict Wounds spell.
  • While you concentrate on the spell and the link persists, you become aware of whether the cursed target's hit points are higher or lower than yours.Yours attacks with inflict wounds have advantage .Additionally, both you and the cursed target suffer necrotic damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of 1) at the start of each of your turns.
  • If you hit the cursed target with another Inflict Wounds spell while the link is active, the cursed target takes additional necrotic damage equal to twice your spellcasting ability modifier. Furthermore, the target is pushed 10 feet away from you.
  • As the caster, you can choose to break the link at any time as a bonus action. Doing so ends the concentration on the Inflict Wounds spell and removes the curse from the target. However, breaking the connection inflicts 3d10 necrotic damage to you(if this reduces you to 0 hit points, you are instead reduced to 1 hit point.). This damage can't be reduced or prevented in any way. However, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice the amount of necrotic damage taken for the next minute, as the dark energies of the severed link bolster your resilience. You can break the link only once per long rest.
