Undying are humanoids that through vile magic, curses or dark pacts became undead.
Creating a Undying[edit]
Undying is an aquired template that can be applied to any humanoid (referred to hereafter as the base creature).
Stat Changes[edit]
Size and Type: The creature's size does not change. The creature's type changes to undead (augmented humanoid). Do not recalculate base attack bonus, saves, or skill points.
Hit Dice: Increase all current and future Hit Dice to d12s (including any Hit Dice attained from class levels).
Speed: Same as base creature.
Armor Class: Same as base creature.
Attack: An Undying retains all the natural weapons, manufactured weapon attacks, and weapon proficiencies of the base creature.
Damage: Same as base creature.
Special Attacks: Same as base creature.
Special Qualities: Same as base creature expect as follows:
- Undead Traits: Undying are not immune to mind-affecting effects. If an Undying would be resurrected, he returns as an Undying, not as a living creature. An Undying heals 1 hit point/hour. An Undying cannot have Handle Animal or Animal Empathy.
Abilities: Alter the base creature's ability scores as follows: Dex -2, and, as an undead creature, an Undying has no Constitution score.
Environment: Any, usually same as base creature.
Organization: Same as the base creature.
Challenge Rating: Same as the base creature +1.
Treasure: Same as the base creature.
Alignment: Always evil (any).
Advancement: Same as the base creature.
Level Adjustment: +0
