Unarmored Magus
While you might wield the primal forces of nature at your fingertips, those don’t count for much if a drunk hooligan bashes your head in with a mace. Best develop some protective wards that won’t require you to start wearing uncomfortable armor or learn to dodge.
- Your Intelligence score increase by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You learn the mage armor spell. The spell is added to your list of spells known, and you can cast it once, without spending spell slots. Once you do so, you can't do it again until you finish a long rest.
- You learn a spell of 2nd-level or lower from the abjuration school of magic. You can cast it once, without using a spell slot, requiring a long rest before casting it again. You can also cast this spell using your own spell slots.
