Tyrakia (Shard Ne'Vaal Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Tyrakia was an ancient nation of the Old World, along with Camus and Sarateo. Its population contained a notable amount of outsiders from other planes, particularly those of gith, which attributed to the nation's greatest resources of psionic power.
Governance[edit]
Tyrakia was partially a confederate state, with multiple smaller groups within. The central crown united the groups which were stationed throughout the land, but the monarch was fairly weak in imposing strict laws on the regions itself. The regions were thus considered a council that wielded power equivalent to the king. There were nine such region leaders, and they often held parlay with the king in discussing legislation. However, where the regions often controlled the purse and law, the king remained in possession of the military.
