Twilight Chamomile (5e Hazard)
From D&D Wiki
Twilight Chamomile[edit]
Info[edit]
This beautiful flower only blooms when creatures are near. If a creature notices the flower, they must make a DC 12 Charisma saving throw or become charmed by the flower. A creature charmed by the flower walks steadily closer, and will attack anything in their way to reach the flower. If a creature reaches the flower, it will lean in to smell the flower. The flower is surrounded by a small cloud of spores. If a creature breathes in these spores, it is polymorphed into an animal. Roll a D8 on the following table to decide its form. The creature is now suffering mass amnesia, and does not remember its past life. The polymorph can be cured by a lesser restoration spell or any other effect that dispels or restores in some way, cast with level 2 or higher. The transformation and amnesia end on their own after about one hour or if the affected creature is more than a mile away from the flower.
Table[edit]
D8 Creature. 1, Black Cat. 2, Black Bird. 3, Black Dog. 4, Black Lizard. 5, Black Mouse. 6, Black Pony. 7, Black Scorpion. 8, Black Cow.
Uses[edit]
Sometimes is planted by sprites or other little folk or fey to protect their territory. Can be harvested for use in multiple ways. If a creature is not charmed by the flower, they can pick the flower. If they try, they must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they are polymorphic by the flower as if they breathed in the spores. Once the flower is picked, their are a few uses. A creature who ingests the flower is polymorphed into a creature from the table. This polymorph lasts D10 minutes. The creature keeps their mind when transformed. Also, the flower can be liquified to create a potion of polymorph, and its petals, when eaten, make the eater, for the duration of one hour, charmed by the next creature they see.
Notes[edit]
Fey creatures are unaffected by this flowers spores, and can succeed on the check to pick the flower immediately.
