A tomb for a very rich or powerful figure. It can take up to 5 years to construct such an opulent final resting place, requiring the work of marblers, carvers, goldsmiths and coppersmiths.


Tombs

You can choose (or roll randomly) on each of the following tables to create a gilded tomb.

For example, a tomb with a base constructed from marble, lined with copper-gilt effigies and enamelled shields, with a full-size brass effigy lies across the top, with 5 years spent constructing it. This will cost 4,600 gp.

Tomb Base Material (d6)

  1. Marble - Sturdy, timeless, and elegant. Cost: 1000 gp.
  2. Granite - Hard and resilient, perfect for a warrior's rest. Cost: 800 gp.
  3. Sandstone - A soft, warm stone with a comforting touch. Cost: 600 gp.
  4. Obsidian - Dark and mysterious, befitting a sorcerer's crypt. Cost: 1200 gp.
  5. Limestone - A light stone with a hint of the ancient world. Cost: 700 gp.
  6. Jade - Rare and precious, for the truly wealthy and powerful. Cost: 2000 gp.

Lining and Effigies (d6)

  2. Gold-plated statues and jewel-encrusted shields - For the ostentatious. Cost: 2000 gp.
  3. Iron-wrought figures and wooden shields - Rustic and sturdy. Cost: 400 gp.

  5. Bronze statuettes and leather-bound shields - For the practical and modest. Cost: 500 gp.
