Tomai (5e Deity)
From D&D Wiki
Tomai[edit]
Alignment. Lawful Good
Domains. Nature, Life
Divine Rank. Greater Deity
Tomai is a powerful being representing the universe itself. He is so great and powerful, no mortal may look at or build a likeness
of him, other than his legs and feet. Tomai is the leader of the Ursian Pantheon, master of order, and is constantly working against Ineron, god of entropy and decay.
Tomai does not exist on the Prime Material Plane; he is the Prime Material Plane, and all other inner planes as well. His consciousness resides in a distant world known as Sumwaer, Boreopolis, or even Deinigh-ruumh, depends on who you ask. When some tendril of his existence manifests, it will always be in the form of a being with a humanoid torso made of nebulae, in a glacier-colored breastplate and a glowing white lab-coat. The lower half of his body is furred like a bear, but the fur is the color of the aurora borealis. His hands and feet are shaped like bear paws, and his head is a nebula shaped exactly like a human head, with a bright star where the left eye should be. Statues of him show a humanoid bear-like lower body, attached to nothing. Any being who follows the ideals of Tomai can worship him. His clerics must sacrifice objects through burning, burying, freezing, or leaving on an altar. The second is to take place two weeks after the first, the next four weeks, the next 8, the next 16, etc.
The servants of Ineron are always bringing decay and death. When things get particularly desperate, he will call one of his worshippers to Sumwaer via a dream. In the dream, he will appear at a long table with all the other Ursian gods of good. Laid out on the table is the whole adventuring world, and Tomai will point out to the called being where destruction is being caused. Then the person will wake up, and remember the whole thing.
The most powerful items of Tomai are the Eye of Tomai, a brilliant diamond on a platinum plate encrusted with pearls, and the Toes of Tomai, two giant carved greenstone bear paws with a different gem for each claw. The Eye can be worn as an amulet, and allows the wearer to see invisible or hidden things, and to see in all light as if it were bright light. The Toes provide a different blessing if you touch one of the toes:
Sapphire: Your Intelligence and Wisdom both increase by 2.
Amethyst: You are now resistant to poison damage, and you are healed of any poisoning.
Emerald: Your walking speed increases by 10 feet, and your flying speed increases by 15 feet. If you can’t fly, you gain the ability to fly at a speed of 45 feet.
Jade: Your Dexterity and Charisma both increase by 2.
Rose-Quartz: You can heal back half the lost hit points of a creature that has not lost all its hit points without using an action. This ability, once used, cannot be used again until you have completed a short rest.
Moonstone: You are now cold-proof. Cold damage has no effect on you.
Ruby: Your Strength and Constitution both increase by 2.
Garnet: Your Constitution increases by 1, you gain the “Lucky” trait, you can cast “Protection from Evil and Good” as a 5th-level spell, and you may heal up to half of your own lost hit points using a major action.
Topaz: Any effects of aging will reverse (including being aged magically), and you will gain 25% more gold from defeated enemies.
Obsidian: Your Dexterity increases by 1, and you gain psionic points as a fourth level mystic. Pick one psionic talent and two psionic disciplines. -->
