Thornhide. Any creature that hits the Grox with a melee attack takes 3 (1d6) piercing damage automatically.

Rootbound Resilience. The Grox has advantage on saves against being knocked prone or moved against its will while standing on natural ground.

Mana Core: Dormant Plant Aspect. The Grox can spend 2 MP to cause thorny brambles to erupt in a 10 ft radius around itself for 1 minute. This terrain is difficult and deals 1d6 piercing damage to any creature moving through it.

Actions

Vine Slam. Melee Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft, one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage. Target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be grappled.

Overgrowth Pulse (Recharge 5–6). Roots explode outward in a 15-foot radius. Creatures must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 12 (3d6 + 2) piercing damage and have their movement reduced by half until the end of their next turn.

Core Drop: 20% for the core to survive the death of the monster, if it does not survive it shatter, it pushes anyone who is in 5 ft of it 5 ft back and makes them prone. Anyone who is in 5 ft from the core on shattering regains half of the max MP the core has and anyone in 10 ft a quarter.
