The Morphin Grid (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Pact of the Grid[edit]
Warlock Subclass
You have made a pact with a mysterious entity with a strong connection to the morphing grid, an otherworldly source of power. The grid itself is neither good nor evil providing power to any who tap into its limitless power. the same cannot be said for those who can access it as it requires immense magic or intelligence to even begin to access it. it requires decades to begin to unravel the grid’s mysteries enough to channel it into others often requiring specially made equipment to channel the sheer power of the grid without harming the wielder.
- expanded spell list
Access to The Grid lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Spell Level | spell |
---|---|
1st | expeditious retreat, magic strike |
2nd | enhance ability,cordon of arrows,corpse explosion |
3rd | backstep, aura of vitality |
4th | final move,banishment |
5th | Magic Missile Storm,lightning rush |
- Dormant power
Starting at 1st level, you can cast mage armor on yourself once per short rest. At 5th level, you may cast it twice, and four times at 12th level.
- Grid Warrior
At 1st level, you acquire the training necessary to effectively arm yourself for battle. You gain proficiency with unarmed strikes and martial weapons.
- A Ranger's equipment
At 3rd level You can use your action to summon a melee weapon to channel the power of the grid. You can change the form to that of a different melee weapon during a long rest. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Your pact weapon disappears if it is out of your hands for more than thirty seconds. It also disappears if you use this feature again, if you dismiss the weapon (no action required), or if you die.
You can merge one Magic Weapon into your pact weapon by performing a special ritual while you hold the weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. You can then dismiss the weapon, sending it to your patron, and it appears whenever you summon your pact weapon thereafter. You can’t affect an artifact or a sentient weapon in this way. The weapon ceases being your pact weapon if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different weapon, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The weapon appears at your feet if it is in the extradimensional space when the bond breaks.--
- Rangers ready
At 4th level you have gained enough experience in battle to know when danger is about to strike. You may cast mage armor on yourself as a reaction to an initiative roll. You need to finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
- Mass Telepathy
Starting at 6th level, you discover how to mentally connect to the grid. You can now set a telepathic link between allies. Your channels can include a number of willing targets up to your proficiency bonus. Your range for this ability is 20 + your warlock level + your character level in feet. If you have telepathy from other sources, its range is increased by 30ft from your current position. as a free action, you can deactivate the telepathic channel.
- Summon Zord
At the 9th level your patron deems you worthy or powerful enough to gain direct access to the Grid’s energy. With this increased power you can summon the very force of the grid itself to aid you in battle. You can cast summon draconic spirit once per long rest.
- Sacrifice to the Grid
Starting at 10th Level, you can use your action to channel a portion of the grid’s energy directly. Roll 4d10 and take that much damage or as much damage as it takes to reduce yourself to zero hp depending on which is less. You then cast a beam of energy with a range of 120 feet that deals that much damage times 2 in radiant damage. Afterwards, gain a level of exhaustion. you may use this feature once per week.
- Master Morpher
Starting at 14th level you can imbue objects with the energy of the morphing grid. to imbue the item you must consume a ruby and spend one month of consecutive time focused on creating the morpher (May use another spellcasting component at DM’s discretion). Any humanoid without levels of warlock that holds the imbued object and speaks a chosen command word instantly multiclasses into a level one Pact of The Grid Warlock ignoring all prerequisites. After one use the item loses its energy and returns to being a mundane item.
