The Kube (5e Deity)
From D&D Wiki
The Kube[edit]
Alignment. True Neutral
Domains. War, Knowledge
Divine Rank. Lesser Deity
The Kube, also known as "The Murderkube", "The Murdercube", or "The /k/ube" is a lesser deity worshiped by individuals with large levels of interest in, and knowledge of, warfare and weaponry combined with the acceptance that war and violence are constants in the world. Only by being prepared can one survive and thrive. Some worshipers have what many would consider to be unhealthy obsessions with weapons, but any who say that out loud nearby the individuals in question seldom live long afterwards.
The Kube resides in its own dimension, a vast black void consisting of only its physical embodiment. Its body is a massive cube, made up of single copies of every weapon ever created. It contains everything from the first spear used by man, to the most advanced weapon system on the planet, to the most destructive wand ever conceived. It is suspected that vehicles and larger weapons also exist in The Kube, but at greater depths than any can peer.
The Kube has never manifested in any other planes, the closest being several large sculptures used as places of worship. The Kube seldom has interactions with the other gods, save for the occasional visits from godly or demonic smiths seeking inspiration, who may be gifted insight.
The Church of The Kube has no organized leadership, the only outstanding members being Saints. Sainthood is incredibly rare, only gifted to the most successful weapons designers. Some you may know of are Eugene Stoner, Mikhail Kalashnikov, Richard Gatling, John Browning, and Sergei Simonov. While holding no power over other members, saints are respected universally and treated accordingly. The worshipers of The Kube are a varied bunch. Ranging from simple soldiers and craftsmen, to warriors of renown and powerful artificers. Any who wage war or seek to improve how it is waged may find themselves drawn to the cult.
Its members seldom meet and hold no sermons, though many can tell who their brothers are through how they dress, act, and speak. The main way they show devotion is by conducting war in a professional, effective manner. Some develop new weapons of war to offer up to The Kube. Though no material is lost, The Kube manifests a copy of whatever is offered immediately on its surface and may give a boon in return. Prayers to The Kube consist of asking for inspiration, subjects outside weapon design and military strategy/tactics never receive responses. Occasionally, a call is started for a Krusade, one of the only reasons members will gather. A Krusade is an armed expiation by members to halt some great threat. Past threats have included Communism, Demonic Armies, Rip-It Shortages (Unresolved), and attempted mass weapon confiscations.
