Saving Throws Con +4 Multiple Heads. The terrortoma has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and on saving throws against being blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, stunned, or knocked unconscious. While the terrotoma sleeps, at least one of its heads is awake. Spider Climb. The terrortoma can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. ACTIONSMultiattack. The terrortoma makes 1d6 + 1 heat ray attacks. Heat Ray. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (2d4 + 1) fire damage. Infect (Recharge 5-6). One humanoid that the terrortoma can see within 5 feet of it must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or become infected with terrortomas; the terrortoma then disappears, and the target is incapacitated until the end of its next turn.

This unusual monster is technically several organisms; a harmless, crawling disk - not in itself a fectoid - and two or more complex, radioactive polyps with their own independent sensory systems. These "heads" can emit concentrated microwave beams from their tubular eyes, frying the flesh of attackers and providing the composite monster with sustenance to break down at its leisure. |
