Template talk:Unsigned IP

Is there any real need for this? The

{{unsigned}}

template does IPs pretty well, and neatly links to their contributions and user page too. Maybe I'm just missin' something. --SgtLion (talk) 13:11, 8 December 2014 (MST)

IP addresses are not supposed to have user pages. Instead, the primary link of an IP is supposed to go directly to their contributions. Compare:
