Creating a Taster[edit]
A Taster is someone who strengthens their body Through Tasting Food around the world. The Taster can increase their stats depending on the type and volume of food consumed. This class is dependent on a good DM to work things with you.
- Quick Build
You can make a Taster by following these suggestions. First, make Strength should be your highest ability score, depending on what type of weapon you wield. Your next-highest score should be Constitution. Second, choose the Folk Hero background.. Third, choose your equipment.

Class Features
As a Taster you gain the following class features.
- Hit Points
Hit Dice: 1d10 per Taster level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 10 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d10 (or 6) + Constitution modifier per Taster level after 1st
- Proficiencies
Armor: All armor
Weapons: Simple Weapons, Martial Weapons
Tools: Cook's Utensils
Saving Throws: Strength, Constitution
Skills: Choose three from Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Persuasion, Performance, Insight, Arcana, Nature
- Equipment
You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:
- (a) Shortsword or (b) Hand crossbow
- (a) Disguise kit or (b) Entertainers pack
- (a) Studded Leather Armor or (b) Scale Mail
- If you are using starting wealth, you have 3d4*10 in funds.
Your saving throw DC for any necessary saves you impose is (DC= 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus)
The Map of Taste[edit]
Whenever the taster drinks or eats and satisfies a certain condition. It rewards them with certain skills and it contains numerous pages with rewards when unlocked. The taster gets a near list of all the food's they have discovered and hints on where you would find the next. Food is able to be created on the fly to your DM's discretion. Food examples are listed below
Strong Smell[edit]
At 1st level, you can smell any type of food within 400 feet.
Once per day, you may also choose a target to track with this ability. For the next 12 hours, you know the direction towards the target.
Consuming Effect[edit]
At 1st level, the taster is granted different buffing effects depending on the food they eat. Eating food takes an action to fully consume the food. Every food gives different effects and depending on the families of food, additional effects. Every effect lasts for 1 minute unless specified otherwise. You may only eat 1 piece of food twice per short rest, increased to 2 at level 5, 3 at level 9, and 4 at level 13.

- Meat effect
Grants the Taster monstrous strength whenever they eat meat. Every food eaten with this family gives +1 to attack.
- Additional effect - upon eating 2 Meat class foods, the taster gains +3 to Attack and Damage rolls
- Soda bar effect
Increases Taster's speed whenever they eat a soda bar. Every food eaten with this family gives +10 feet of movement.
- Additional effect - upon eating 2 Soda bar class foods, you gain an extra attack
- Fruit effect
Increases the Taster's health whenever they eat fruits. Every food eaten with this family grants advantage on their next skill check or saving throw.
- Additional effect - upon eating 2 Fruit class foods, Whenever the Taster makes an attack roll or a saving throw, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.
- Veggie Effect
Raises the Tasters defense whenever they eat veggies. Every food eaten with this family, the Taster gains a +1 to their AC.
- Additional effect - upon eating 2 Veggie class foods, the Taster is able to block one attack with a reaction per round. Reducing the damage by Xd10, where X is your proficiency bonus.
Ego Sword[edit]
At 1st level, the Taster gains their unique Ego sword. The Taster's Ego sword, named Ego, is unique and different from other Ego Swords. Aside from a sword, Ego is able to transform into utensils which are used for battle as a spoon and even turn itself into armour. There's no telling what kind of weapon it'll become based on what it eats or how many times it evolves. He is currently a simple pet and is not able to turn into any offensive weapons.
He is capable of storing numerous weapons within his small body, coughing up swords whenever the Taster calls for it.
At 4th level, Ego may eat a sword or other weapon to take on its weapon attributes (such as Vorpal). Any weapon eaten this way cannot be recovered, and only one weapons attribute can be maintained at a time. Sentient weapons are immune to this feature.
Stamina[edit]
Starting at 2nd level, you gain access to Stamina. Stamina is necessary to perform certain Skills or use certain features. You have a number of Stamina equal to the number shown in the stamina column of the Taster table. You regain all Stamina after a long rest. All abilities that use Skill Points share the same Save DC.
Cutlery Manipulation[edit]
When the Taster becomes 3rd level, Ego's intellectual ability improved, giving him new forms, giant spoon and fork mode. Ego has become more skilled and stronger, growing alongside the Taster as both of them took thousands of monsters listed in the Map of Taste. You can use any Ego skills while Ego is used as a weapon.
At 3rd level, as a bonus action, you gain the ability to transform Ego into different types of weapons to make attacks Ego does 1d8 damage in all its forms where damage is not listed.
- Sword Manipulation
Ego's Main form, A longsword or rapier, depending on what you choose as your appearance. In this form, its property is Slashing, and Versatile with the damage die increasing 1 die up (1d8 to 1d10).
- Fork Manipulation
Ego can transform into a gigantic fork which the taster can use to pierce a target. All of Ego's damage is now Piercing. Its properties are Heavy, and Reach with its damage die becoming 1d10.
When landing an attack, you may expend your bonus action to attempt to bleed the target. They must make a Constitution save or take 1d4 damage for 2 turns.
- Spoon Manipulation
Ego can transform into a gigantic spoon which the taster can use to swat her target. All of Ego's damage is now Bludgeoning. Its properties are Heavy, and Reach with its damage die becoming 1d10.
As a bonus action, you may throw food to an ally. Any food launched at an ally is able to be eaten on the fly, they can make a Dex check with advantage to eat it as a reaction, gaining any benefits it has. You may only use this ability equal to your food per hour stat. Retainable on long rest
- Chopsticks Manipulation
Ego takes the form of giant chopsticks. The taster can extend Ego in this form and stab targets from a distance. Its properties are Light, and Two-handed.
When you take the Attack action and attack with a chopstick that you’re holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with the other chopstick that you’re holding in the other hand. You can add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack.
- Greatsword Manipulation
Prerequisite: 10th level
Ego turns into a giant Greatsword, increasing its potential damage. Its properties are Heavy and Two-Handed with its damage die becoming 2d6.
- Chef Knife Manipulation
Prerequisite: 11th level Ego can transform into a chef knife, in this form it gains a +1 to attack. It's a 1d8 piercing weapon with the Versatile property increasing the damage die by 1 die up (1d8 to 1d10)
Extra Attack[edit]
Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. you may attack a 3rd time at level 14.
Path[edit]
At 5th level, you may choose between Gourmet and Connoisseur subclasses. Gaining features at 5th, 9th, and 13th level.
Binge[edit]
At 6th level, The Taster consumes numerous types of foods, gaining multiple buffs as a result. Once per long rest, the Taster may binge eat, doubling the amount they are able to eat before requiring a short test.
Even Dogs Shouldn't Be Bothered When They're Eating[edit]
At 7th level, while eating, a shield is created to protect the Taster whenever she is eating. The skill activates whenever the taster is attacked or interrupted while eating. As a reaction when attacked in a round where you used your action to use the consume food class feature, you may cast the shield spell without consuming a spell slot. you can use this feature once per long rest
Ego Sword of Will[edit]
At 9th level, Ego is able to unlock a new form, his own Human Form. He has become quite a capable swordsman himself. Ego's starting ability scores are: 17, 15, 14, 13, 11, 9. They can be distributed on the six ability scores in any chosen order. Ego uses your proficiency bonus rather than its own. In addition to the areas where it normally uses its proficiency bonus. Ego also gains proficiency in 2 skills of your choice. They also become proficient in all saving throws. Ego with 6 + Con hit points, and it increases by 1d6 + con for each level of Taster after 1st level. Ego can attack normally, or by using Ego Skills. You can no longer use Ego Skills while he is in human form.
Enhanced Swordsmanship[edit]
At 10th level, The taster gains a new Manipulation. The Taster's swordsmanship and overall power is awakened and drastically improves, enabling them to create an entirely new skill of their own with (help of the DM), and to become able to wield a Great Sword Ego.
Chef Knife[edit]
At 11th level, the Taster gains the Chef Knife manipulation, the Chef knife is an Ego Sword that looks like a knife. It's handle is wooden and its edge is light gray while the spine is black. Chef Knife can turn attacks into food by using converting the aggregate energy of the attack into food. The stronger the attack is, the more taste and energy the food will have.
Every attack made summons a myriad of foods, the foods are instantly eaten by the Taster. Every attack in this form heals for half of the attack's damage, rounded down (minimum 1).
Binge x10 Mode[edit]
At the 14th level, you gain Binge x10 mode, usable every long rest. This ability buffs the Taster's overall physique, increasing their strength and speed, even changing them to a bloated appearance. Using this ability increased their attack and damage rolls by +2, and speed by 15 feet. Increases Taster's AC by 1. After using this ability, you cannot eat for 5 Hours.
Healing Augmentation[edit]
At 15th level, the Taster's regeneration drastically increases whenever she eats and allows her to survive attacks that are capable of blowing away a fortress. Whenever a piece of food is eaten, you heal 1d6 health.
Strength Enhancement[edit]
At 16th level, Whenever a piece of food is eaten, the Taster's strength increases drastically whenever she eats, giving her monstrous strength. After eating, Strength is increased by +2 for the duration. This can go past the Ability score cap.
Speed and Agility Enhancement[edit]
At 17th level, the Taster's speed and agility increases drastically whenever she eats. This buff enables her to reach speeds where the wind blows strong whenever she moves and about. Furthermore, it allows her to move as if there are no patterns to her movement at all. After eating, Your speed is increased by 20 feet and any attacks of opportunity have disadvantage.
Hero of Taste[edit]
At 18th level. The Taster's hair stands up as if it is being blown upwards by the wind, her eyes turn pink, her skin turns white and and her forehead is marked with an insignia similar to the Memory of Cintamani. the taster's whole body emits a blue glow. The black parts of her attire change to white and the bandages wrapped around her shin go from dark grey to blue. This state lasts for one minute, or until your hit points hit 0 or below. Upon ending, the taster gains three points of exhaustion. You gain the following effects when entering this state:
-Your movement speed triples from It's base.
-Your Ego strikes deal an additional damage die.
-Your skill points are restored.
-You regain a number of hitpoints equal to your hitpoint maximum.
-All techniques do double damage and cost half the amount of stamina. This does not extend to class features.
-You may make an additional attack when taking the attack action on your turn. This cannot be used in conjunction with the benefits of grand feast
The Hero of the Era[edit]
A One and Only class, The Hero of the Era, that a legendary hero unlocked after she completed the Map of Taste list, That name is yours now, and you must live to upkeep it. However you choose to do that is up to you, though surely, your name will go down in legend like the Hero that followed. At 20th level, All creatures of the following types are vulnerable to any attacks made by you; Undead, Celestials, Fiends, Aberrations.

Gourmet[edit]
- Open Fridge
At 5th level, The Taster summons a fridge that contains and stores the numerous foods they have collected. Grabbing food out of the fridge is a free action. Anyone eating your food does not gain the benefits unless given with the Spoon Manipulation.
- Dragon Tendon Bandage
At 9th level, You gain your Dragon Tendon Bandage, It is a bandage made with Dragon's Tendons. Its elasticity and durability is beyond imagination. The Taster wears it on both arms.
While wearing these, your AC is equal to 11 + Constitution + Proficiency modifier.
- Indomitable
Beginning at 13th level, you can reroll a saving throw that you fail. If you do so, you must use the new roll, and you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Connoisseur[edit]
- Closed Grill
At 5th level, All of the tasters attacks have a charred appearance. This new-found dominance manifests with a fiery resolve. You gain the control flames cantrip, and all attacks do an additional 1d6 fire damage. This increases to 2d6 at level 14 and 3d6 at level 17.
- True Taste
At 9th level, after eating food, The stat cap for all your stats increases to 22.
- Expert Cunning
Beginning at 13th level, You start to manifest the powers of a true trickster spirit. You are able to cast invisibility and disguise self on yourself at will. Additionally, you may cast Charm Person and Suggestion as an action with no cost once per short rest.
Skills[edit]
Taster Skills[edit]
- Taster Slash
Prerequisite: 10th level, 6 Stamina
The taster delivers a very powerful slash or multiple powerful slashes that have been shown to kill opponents instantly utilizing your own Sword Spirit. You may hit one or multiple creatures. Attacking one, you must make a single attack against the creature, on hit it deals 2d10 + strike damage, if reducing the target to 0 hitpoints, it will cut them in half, killing them instantly if they cannot survive without a lower half. If attempting to hit multiple opponents, instead, make a strike against the nearest creature with +2 to damage rolls, you may then attempt to dash to and strike another creature within 10 feet of the first. You may use the dash strike up to 4 times, you cannot hit the same creature more than once and must make a separate attack roll for each attempt.
- Slice and Dice
Prerequisite: 2nd level, 1 Stamina Strike the enemy upwards with Ego, then pierce them with sharp noodles. Make one attack against a creature of your choice dealing strike + 1d6. On hit, the creature must make a Strength saving throw or be thrown into the air. Oh hit, you also are able to make another attack, piercing the creature with ice dealing strike cold damage. If they are in the air you can spend your reaction to make this attack with advantage. The creature is in the air until the start of their turn.
- Clobber
Prerequisite: 2nd level, 1 Stamina Strike with Egos hilt to push back the enemy, then smash their vital organs. Make one strike against a creature of your choice, if hit, roll a d10 to determine where you hit and the debuff received by the creature. Lesser restoration will heal any of these conditions.
- 1 Concussion. Creature falls unconscious but wakes up if damaged again or if another creature uses an action to shake them awake.
- 2-5 Broken left/right arm/hand. Disadvantage on all d20 rolls using it for 2 turns
- 6-7 Broken left/right leg. Halved speed for 3 turns
- 8 Broken ribs. Dash at half speed, temporary -5 on weapon attack rolls for 1 turn
- 9 1d2 broken left/right fingers. Disadvantage on all d20 rolls using that hand for 2 turns
- 10 Crushed lungs. Suffocating, 1d4 damage on the start of their turn for 2 turns.
- Sword Taster
Prerequisite: 6th level, 4 Stamina
At the cost of 4 Stamina points, the taster clashes their Ego sword against the enemies, forcing them into a stalemate. It allows the person to read the muscles and other factors of the opponents body to predict where the next attack will come from. Until the end of the target enemy creature's next turn, if they try to move or make an attack against the taster, the taster may make a single attack against them in return for every attempt made.
- Slash x8
Prerequisite: 4nd level, 5 Stamina
This skill delivers multiple slashes to the target that amount to eight times. Make 8 attacks towards a single target, all with disadvantage. Any attacks hit must take -3 to their damage. If the creature is in the air, the attacks only take -2 to their damage
- Moonlight Slash
Prerequisite: 4nd level, 3 Stamina
The taster delivers a single powerful sword slash that bisects the target. Make a lightning fast downward slash, sending a shockwave for a 20ft line in the direction that you fired this attack from. After making an unarmed strike, all creatures in line with the exception of the original target must make a Dexterity saving throw or take damage equal to the attack damaged rolled regardless of whether it hit on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
- Double Bash
Prerequisite: 2nd level, Chopsticks Manipulation, 1 Stamina
The Taster delivers two strong bashes whilst dual wielding. You may make two attacks against a creature with both of your chopsticks. Any damage you deal is turned into bludgeoning damage and the target must make a constitution save or be stunned for 1 turn.
- Dual Wield x Slash
Prerequisite: 2nd level, Chopsticks Manipulation, 1 Stamina
You deliver a very strong attack in combination with both of your swords. The slashes are strong cross attacks against an enemy that sends them flying away. Make two attack rolls against a single enemy within range, if the attack misses you lose no skill points. On a hit, the target is thrown 5ft in a direction of your choice per attack hit. The taster can spend additional skill points to increase the range by 5ft per point spent to a maximum of 30 feet.
- Satiety
Prerequisite: 6nd level, 2 Stamina
For a short period of time, satiety is converted into damage. Suffers from extreme hunger once the buff is over. You may sacrifice points of exhaustion, and take damage per turn to increase damage. Every point of exhaustion you take increases Ego damage by 1 damage die , you also take Xd4 damage per turn, where X is the amount of exhaustion you take. This form lasts until you eat again.

- Hero's Body
Prerequisite: 8th level, 1 Stamina
a skill that consumes the tasters own health to break the range limit of action. It basically forces the taster to move/dodge impossible attacks. As an action or reaction, you may sacrifice 1d4 hitpoints and 1 stamina to inflict a -1 on an attack against you, this may stack up to -5 taking 1d4 damage and costing 1 additional stamina for each point beyond the first.
- Meal Fork - Stab
Prerequisite: 4th level, Fork Manipulation, 2 Stamina
You stab the target downward similar to how you would stab food with a fork when eating. Using your fork manipulation, you may choose a single attack target within a 30 ft radius, leaping above them to stab downward similar to how you would stab food with a fork when eating.. If hit, the target must make a Strength save or be stabbed through and considered grappled.
- Meal Spoon
Prerequisite: 4th level, Spoon Manipulation, 2 Stamina
you summon a giant spoon from the ground that is capable of defending you and your friends from an attack. This summons a 10 foot long by 5 foot wide spoon from the ground. Any creature standing behind the spoon gets 3/4 cover. The spoon lasts 1 minute
- Soup spoon
Prerequisite: 4th level, Spoon Manipulation, 2 Stamina Swipe upwards with your Spoon. The enemy must make a Constitution saving throw against the taster's DC. On a failure, the enemy creature takes the taster's strike + 2d6 Force damage and is sent flying 15ft in a direction of the taster's choosing. If a creature is of the size large, they are only moved 5ft. Additionally, if they are of sizes Huge or above, then they are not moved.
- Skewers
Prerequisite: 9th level, 4 Stamina
You attach your Dragon Tendon Bandage to the pommel of your weapon and swing it around, turning it into a giant skewer which you use to attack the target by piercing the skills/magic they launched at her and send it back to them. When you are hit by a weapon attack or damaging spell, you can use this technique as a reaction. You can reflect half the damage that you took onto the creature that made the attack. When hit by a damaging spell, you can reflect half the damage back, costing an additional Skill Point for every spell level above 1st. Also once per long rest, roll a 1d20 and on a 20, reflect all of the damage taken.
- Sword of the the Hero of Tasteː Mode - Fork
Prerequisite: 15th level, Fork Manipulation, 6 Stamina
On your command, Ego emits a large amount of energy that takes the form of a gigantic fork which you can use to pierce her targets. The fork can be used to stab energy attacks, which can then be swung around to return said energy back to the caster. The fork lasts for 5 turns, and deals 1 dice extra damage (1d8 to 2d8), You gain 5 extra range on your attacks. Any damaging spell that forces a save may be redirected, if you pass the save, you can instead launch it elsewhere, (If you succeed fireball save, you may launch the fireball at someone else within range).
- Taster Style Chapter One - Spoon Murderer
Prerequisite: 10th level, Spoon Manipulation, 6 Stamina
On your command, Ego emits a large amount of energy that takes the form of a gigantic spoon, which you can use to swat your target(s). The spoon lasts for 5 turns, and deals 1 dice extra damage (1d8 to 2d8), You gain 5 extra range on your attacks. Any attack made against a creature may move the creature 5 feet in the direction of your choosing.
- Taster Style Special Move - Grand Feast
Prerequisite: 15th level, 8 Stamina
It is the one and only ultimate skill of the Taster created by combining the unique effects of Ego and cooking Utensils. You can use Ego to turn energy into food, which you consume growing stronger the longer a fight goes on. The Taster buffs themselves, The buff lasts for 1 minute. The Taster gains +2 to their Saving throws, Damage, and Attack rolls. The taster also gain +15 temporary health each turn that does not stack. You can only use this once per long rest. At 18th level the bonus increases to +3.
Ego Sword Skills[edit]
- Eat Up
Prerequisite: 2nd level, 2 Stamina
Ego's mouth develops sharp teeth and her mouth becomes big enough to swallow a player. Ego then consumes the target, killing them in process. Make one melee attack against a target. If hit, the target must make a strength saving throw or be swallowed. While swallowed, the target is incapacitated but able to make another save on each of it's turns to escape. The target also takes 1d6 damage per turn while swallowed.
- Chew Up
Prerequisite: 2nd level, 5 Stamina
Ego chews the opponent's weapon every time it comes into contact with it and eventually destroys the weapon. As a bonus action whenever you make an attack against you may use this ability to slowly destroy the others weapon. It takes 1d4 attacks per rarity to destroy a non-magical weapon.
- Berserk! - Binge Max
Prerequisite: 6th level, 7 Stamina
Ego goes Berserk due to the taster's anger and devours the target of your rage. Ego's mouth is split into four parts and the target is bitten cleanly. Make a ranged sword attack against a target within 30 feet. If hit, the target takes 3d6 piercing damage + Ego sword damage. They must succeed a strength-saving throw or be swallowed by Ego.
- Ego-Close Defense Form
Prerequisite: 4th level, 4 Stamina
Ego latches onto the taster's allies and transforms into armor that is capable of blocking. Target one creature of your choice within 30 feet of yourself. Ego latches on to them and adds +2 to their AC. This lasts until you call ego back but while guarding, you cannot make attacks with your Ego sword. This may be used as a reaction to an attack against an ally.
- Ego - Chew and Swallow
Prerequisite: 7th level, 8 Stamina
Ego devours the target and proceeds to consume it. While a target is swallowed by Eat up or Binge max and in Ego's mouth, you may use this skill. The swallowed target takes 6d4 damage and if killed, the Taster heals 1d8 health.
- Ego - Spit
Prerequisite: 3rd level, 2 Stamina
You can use this skill to hurl a creature that is swallowed by ego. When you do so, you can fling the creature a number of feet in any direction equal to 15 plus 3 times your Strength modifier and knock it prone. If the creature strikes an object, such as a wall, the creature and the object take 1d6 + your strength modifier bludgeoning damage, plus 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 10 full feet the creature was thrown. If the hurled creature is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your strength modifier) or take the same damage and be knocked prone. You may choose to throw a creature without throwing it with sufficient velocity to inflict physical damage, which can come in handy if you're throwing your friends or participating in a sporting event.
- Taster Secret Skill - Chopsticks - Noodle Slurping
Prerequisite: 5th level, Chopsticks Manipulation, 5 Stamina
The Chopstick form Ego Sword creates giant noodles that are launched at the targets at high speed. This makes 4 ranged attacks against a single target or multiple. Similar to magic missile, this always hits. Each noodle deals 1d4 + 2
- Chopsticks Skill - Kkakdugi Lunge
Prerequisite: 5th level, Chopsticks Manipulation, 5 Stamina
The Taster extends the Chopsticks Form Ego at the target which penetrates the target on impact. The Taster can call Ego back to retract. Make a weapon attack on any creature within 20 feet. If the creature is in front of a wall, they may be pinned to it and considered grappled.
- Mixer - Meat Grind
Prerequisite: 11th level, Chef Knife Manipulation, 8 Stamina
The Chef Knife Ego Sword turns into a meat grinder that is able to cause a massive path of destruction towards its direction. Dash forward 20 ft. You may make a strike against any creature within 5 ft of your dash. This does not trigger attacks of opportunity.
- Mincemeat
Prerequisite: 12th level, Chef Knife Manipulation, 12 Stamina
The Taster summons a giant meat mallet that crushes her targets. Choose a 20 ft radius circle within 60 ft. Any creature must make a dexterity saving throw. On a failure taking 6d8 Bludgeoning damage and being stunned. On success, the creature only takes half damage and is not stunned.
- The 7th Chapter - Sword of Will - Ego Sword MAX
Prerequisite: 14th level, 12 Stamina
Using her Dragon Tendon and Ego Sword, The Taster creates a powerful blade of Light that completely eviscerates the target. This make a sweeping attack against every creature within a 60 ft cone. Every creature must make a dexterity saving throw against your DC or take 10d8 + Strike force damage and be thrown back 20 feet.
You can only use this twice per short or long rest
