Alignment. Lawful Neutral

Divine Rank. Lesser Deity

Tangarita is the goddess of mountains and strength in the trifadishti pantheon. She has an appearance between an orc and an ogre with big rippling muscles and small tusks protruding from her mouth. She wears hide armor made from the hides of many different animals and lugs a large maul over her shoulders. Tangarita is considered the god of all giant-kind and orc-kind and holds herself to the tribal values of survival and family.

Tangarita's primary lesson is that the weak die and the strong do not. She is a deity that emphasizes the importance of deep family bonds and above all, survival. Obviously, the vast majority of Tangarita's followers are orcs and giant-kin such as trolls and ogres but many that lie outside these racial lines still worship her. As long as they share her values of family (which she calls the mountain of ones life) and survival she will accept them as long as they are strong enough.

Tangarita does not have formal churches, but she does have shrines and statues high in the mountains and in most orcish settlements. Tangarita is the only non-evil god that accepts blood offerings. At all of these idols and statues there is always a simple stone knife chained to it's base. To worship Tangarita one slices their hand open with the knife and reads the inscription while rubbing their blood on the idol. This is the reason her churches are generally not found in more populace towns and cities.
