Talk:Yo-Yo (5e Equipment)
1d6 seems very high for a small piece of wood. 1d2 or even 1 damage would suit it better. Additionally, this seems like more of an April Fools weapon or improvised weapon.
Even if it is a piece of wood, if something hits a creature moving at a fast enough velocity, it’s going to hurt more than a d2. Also, this weapon was created as a supplement for a class I was going to make in the past but never got to it. I also wanted more options for simple weapons that deal bludgeoning damage. Debatable considering a basic unarmed strike does 1 damage, and I'm fairly sure someone can punch a tad harder than they can throw a yo-yo. If it's for a class, ya got me there, mate. PunnyDM12 (talk) 19:26, 22 November 2018 (MST)
Would the light property not also be good? Making it very suitable for monks? - Omen
- I don't think adding the light property would make it any more suitable for monks. Marasmusine (talk) 09:48, 1 June 2019 (MDT)
