"claws. you get claws that deal 1d8 damage +1 to the roll every level every 5 levels -5 from the roll and ad 1d8 to the roll" That's pretty complicated. How about (Your proficiency bonus)d4 (more in scale with 5e damage. and simplier) at 20th level your 5d8 - or 5-40 with a single attack.
