Talk:Wolfborn (4e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Wolf Claws and Wolf Hide infringe on class choice, and should be optional - i.e. feats. Fortunately they already exist. See Claw Fighter and Unarmored Agility. Marasmusine (talk) 02:49, 24 July 2012 (MDT)
Scenting[edit]
The idea for the Wolfborn is to have a very strong nose, but not to be able to turn it off. Because of this there needs to be a penalty from strong odors. If the current racial trait is unbalanced, I am open to suggestions for how to make it more balanced, but also I want to keep it similar to the original idea. - If you want to tie the penalty more into the mechanics, have the penalty incurred if the PC is in or adjacent to a piece of terrain or object that can cause disease. "Terrain", "Object" and "Disease" are specific keywords and cover the examples given in the trait.
- Wolf Pack is also overpowered. Change it to a +1 racial bonus to damage if adjacent to an ally. Marasmusine (talk) 08:14, 11 August 2012 (MDT)
