I'm also surprised that no kobolds missed In'Za with his 18 AC. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 10:45, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
They have pack tactics, giving advantage on every attack as long as two still stand. Agrith (talk) 11:41, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
Still, no misses? Although that does explain it a bit. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 11:46, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
They also have a +4 to hit, meaning one of their two rolls has to be 14 or higher to hit you, a 9 or higher for Jack (now 8 or higher), and an 8 or higher for Wfoz. Agrith (talk) 12:48, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
Yeah, I guess that does make quite a lot of sense. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 12:50, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
- The rolls are all in rolz. Some missed, but as Agrith says, advantage. At least they haven't outright killed anyone yet. Though I'll admit that having one attack Jack after he was down was a poor judgement call on my part.--GamerAim (talk) 12:56, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
- But understandable. Jack killed two of their comrades in the span of 6 seconds because they dropped his companions. Stabbing him while he's down to make themself feel better isn't really that different. Agrith (talk) 13:03, 25 July 2017 (MDT)
Alright. Jack suddenly seems so different because he basically has lost his sense of identity and self-confidence. During the kobold fight, he was the only one that missed, and he missed two times consecutively, he was downed during the fight (not that he hasn't been before), and everyone but him resulted in his condition after the battle (Wfoz stabilized him and Decca healed him, but he could forgive those, they were necessary). But after all that, In'Za (no offense) healed him, the least injured of the party. It all made him feel weak and like the party pitied him. To him, he is strong because he can survive in the forest, especially how long he has. To do that, you have to be strong. Now he questions whether it was strength or really luck that he survived. Since those aspects made up much of his self image, along with his being dracon, he now no longer is sure who he is. Yeah, I didn't know this would happen until it happened. Remember how I said I really role play?

(Nice)
Did you see Jack's question, DM? --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 10:02, 2 September 2017 (MDT)
The edit tab has disappeared from my main page so I can't edit/make any character contribution. StoatyGoodness

Updates[edit]
I moved the previous days to its own archive page to save room on the main page. I also made a Roll20 if anyone wants to get invited to that. It isn't necessary, as I will try to screenshot the battlemap anyways.--GamerAim (talk) 10:59, 16 August 2017 (MDT)
- It's been a while since I've used Roll20, but I still have an account over there. An invite would be appreciated. - Guy (talk) 21:03, 17 August 2017 (MDT)
Initiative[edit]
I think I'm going to stop rerolling initiative every round, since it takes awhile in large battles. Everyone fine with that?--GamerAim (talk) 14:38, 20 August 2017 (MDT)
Character Questions[edit]
Hey GamerAim, I was thinking about archtypes (assuming we get that far) and was considering Way of the Four Elements or Way of the Shadows, until I looked at the homebrews and found Way of the Dragon. What do you think about it (the psuedodragon could be something we find that takes a liking to Jack) Agrith (talk) 21:12, 26 August 2017 (MDT)
- I'm looking into it and will have a better answer by the time it's relevant :) --GamerAim (talk) 05:48, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
Thank you. Agrith (talk) 17:02, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
Oh, do you mind this archetype for In'Za? It's kind of central to his background. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 06:21, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
- I'm pretty sure I already okayed it, but I'll let you know if something changes before then :) --GamerAim (talk) 07:41, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
- Thanks :D --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 07:42, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
Ready Action[edit]
Not to be a rules lawyer (he says before being a rules lawyer), but one can normally only Ready an action or a move, not both simultaneously. That's just, uh, for future reference I suppose. - Guy (talk) 07:31, 15 September 2017 (MDT)
- Thanks for the correction, but you still had surprise so "readying" was really only a formality at this point, to coordinate your attacks or something. You still got a free round of moving and attacking, regardless of if you readied or not \o/ --GamerAim (talk) 07:35, 15 September 2017 (MDT)
Please can we start a new page because all the scrolling is doing my head in! --StoatyGoodness (talk) 02:25, 12 October 2017 (MDT)
Retiring[edit]
Feel free to NPC-ify Decca, or otherwise write her out of the game. - Guy (talk) 23:04, 2 November 2017 (MDT)
Sorry all, I've really taken my eye off this as life has become busier. I appreciate the time you've all given, especially the DM. I liked the characters very much, but I don't want to continue any more.
