Class Features[edit]

So I'm needing some input on some interesting class features for the Viking. I want it to be kinda of a Barbarian Sea Fighter. Any help would be appreciated. --Watsyurname529 10:45, 28 October 2007 (MDT)

I like the shield bash stuff. The way vikings fought, the shield was the main weapon. Good flavor there. One technique that can be used with a shield is to shove it into your opponents armpit which puts their weapon where they can't hit you. I'm not sure how to add that as an ability.--Andreichekov (talk) 01:54, 7 August 2013 (MDT)

Balance[edit]

Prestige classes are supposed to offer new and interesting options, but they aren't supposed to be any more powerful than the base classes. Compare this to the fighter ... your prestige class has better hit points and is pulling in about two feats per level. It is also stronger than the barbarian. That's not how prestige classes are supposed to work. Stretch those bonuses out across 10 levels, and it might be workable. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.167.48.146 (talkcontribs) 00:52, 23 August 2008 (MDT). Please sign your posts.

Except more powerful is how prestige classes are. Every spell casting prestige class gives spells at each level and extra abilities. Also, no one takes more than 2 levels of fighter, so comparing fighter to anything is a waste of time.--Andreichekov (talk) 01:52, 7 August 2013 (MDT)
