Talk:Unarmored Defense Master (5e Feat)

How is it ridiculous? Lavie (talk)
- The feat allows you to increase your AC by potentially up to +5. This is a huge balance issue due to how absurdly powerful gaining large amounts of AC are. If for example a creature hits you half the time(on a 11 to 20), a +5 boost to AC doubles your survivability (they only hit on a 16 to 20 now). This concept is called Bounded Accuracy and the concept is key to keeping 5e balanced. Because of this, really a feat shouldn't give more than a +1 bonus to AC as giving more than that would be too powerful.
- The feat could still be changed so it becomes something unique and usable, say giving you +1 AC while not wearing armor, and some other benefits. Plus if the feat is not reworked, there really isn't a reason to not delete the feat as it is both broken and frankly uninspired.--Blobby383b (talk) 21:17, 13 March 2021 (MST)
