CR should be more than 20! 25 in levels alone, then +2 for the Lich template. --Darkzumi (talk) 06:34, 16 November 2016 (MST)

Oh, didn't notice you posted here, sorry. CR is not ECL. Challenge Rating is the level four party members would need to be to have the subject be a decent enemy. Four level 20 adventurers would probably have little trouble killing this NPC, so if anything, I'd argue the CR was too high to start. --SgtLion (talk) 08:44, 16 November 2016 (MST)
Per the Dungeon Master Guide, NPCs with class levels have a CR equal to their total character level, which would be CR 25 for this character, and then +2 CR from the Lich template. My edit had nothing to do with ECL. BUT, it's your NPC so I'll leave it alone. Great NPC, I enjoyed reading over his stats and background.  :) --Darkzumi (talk) 02:41, 19 November 2016 (MST)
Does it.. really say that? Well I do apologise, that makes just no sense whatsoever. 4 level 27 characters would demolish this guy in a couple rounds. So I'm going to argue in this case that the rule at least shouldn't apply to epic levels. I guess I should ask Kydo/Mara for their advice on that. --SgtLion (talk) 02:50, 24 November 2016 (MST)
Yeah, the CR for NPCs is kind of screwed up. Thanks for the apology you posted on my talk page, but no apologies are necessary. One thing you might want to edit is his damage reduction, you have it listed as 15/bludgeoning or magic, but the DR for being a lich is 15/bludgeoning AND magic. My British heritage indisposes me to endless apologies and pleasantries <3 Nice catch on the DR, I shalt sort it post haste. --SgtLion (talk) 14:02, 29 November 2016 (MST)
Huh. You know I never thought about the difference in those DR descriptions. I think poor Tulock died at some point he shouldn't have! How cruel you are to me, hindsight. --SgtLion (talk) 14:10, 29 November 2016 (MST)
