Talk:Tattooed Monk (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
From what I see are the following issues/suggestions:
- Strange. why does bat tattoo get truesight instead of blindsight? And truesight without a level prereq is kinda whack imo
- some wording oopsies like "once per long rest" and capitalizations for damage types. Also, spells should be italicized, linked, and lower case. Skills should also be linked
- the whole thing about moon and sun is better worded as within moonlight or bright sunlight ("While you are within sunlight," eg). Allows for better use within cases where magic generates this source of light via a moonlit weapon or sunlight spell.
Overall, seems like a simple "build your own class" thing. What worries me most is some of the prerequisites and where they are not assigned. Other than that and the above, it is just fine.--Yanied (talk) 13:52, 25 November 2021 (MST)
- After reviewing this comment of yours, I have followed through with some chances (Changed truesight to blindsight, fixed the "wording oopsies," and did the changes for the whole moon and sun wording, Although I am curious about what you mean about your comment about prerequisites. I will revise this prestige class to be less simple. Leíf (talk) 14:54, 25 November 2021 (MST)
- Well, with some of the changes, the prereqs seem less a problem now. I mostly meant how some of the tattoos are valued via their prereqs. Like, you could add a tattoo for truesight, but it shouldn't not be level-walled compared to casting a mediocre spell like web. So in this instance, I guess what stands out now are the ASI-boosting tats, which basically give you the benefit of something like the very rare magic manuals or an ASI level boost. But since this is a prestige class that might be a moot point, so it's probably fine.--Yanied (talk) 08:09, 26 November 2021 (MST)
