The benefit of this trait confuses me. "When asked to make a listen check, you may make a spot check instead." Does that mean you can use your spot modifier to make a listen check, or do you actually make a spot check? I suppose you mean the former. --Badger 13:41, 25 July 2009 (MDT)

It basically means that you may make a spot check instead of a listen check when asked to make a listen check, since you can see sounds, if that makes sense?Summerscythe 14:46, 25 July 2009 (MDT)

Wouldn't it make more sense to say something like "When asked to make a Listen or Spot check, you may choose to use the other instead."? Or something along those lines... Phoenix of Chaos 16:02, 3 April 2011 (MDT)
