I have no idea what CR this should be.
Adamantine Weapons[edit]
The Cobble Crusher, one of the few weapons that can damage stone pebblits, is an adamantine weapon. The Stone Smasher and Boulder Breaker would therefore also be adamantine weapons. The Drillshaft is a spear-type weapon and would deal piercing damage. The Iron Sledgehammer is an outlier, but you could just say it's an adamantine maul. bomb arrows deal thunder damage and ancient arrows deal force damage. Removing the pebblit's immunity to bludgeoning damage that isn't adamantine would allow countless more things that don't affect the stone pebblit in-game to harm it, such as clubs. In Tears of the Kingdom, all bludgeoning weapons harm pebblits. While the Drillshaft is special, the fact remains that pebblits aren't immune. Maybe they can't be hurt by wooden weapons? --Jomega (talk) 17:38, 23 January 2024 (MST)
- Fusing an eyeball to an arrow causes it to become a homing arrow. There's more to weapon fusing than just attaching the material to the weapon. Currently, I don't believe any rules for weapon fusing exist in Hyrule (5e Campaign Setting), so maybe fusing a stone to your weapon grants it the properties of an adamantine weapon. - Except that all of the weapons mentioned above will one-shot a pebblit. Similar logic is applied on other monster pages whenever a monster is killed automatically by a damage type. Look at the pages for fire/ice breath Lizalfos and fire/ice Wizzrobes. In game, these die automatically when hit with the opposing element. In this system, that translates to a vulnerability. Ergo, this should mean that pebblits are vulnerable to adamantine weapons, immune to non-adamantine piercing and slashing, and either neutral or at the very least resistant to non-adamantine bludgeoning. --Jomega (talk) 14:19, 27 January 2024 (MST)
- It's me, the creator of the Pebblit stat block! If you want to know my intention, I designed the Pebblit around its Involuntary Destruction ability where the Pebblit can be destroyed in a number of ways besides conventional damage. They are otherwise pesky with a lot of HP and AC for a small creature that can serve as a minion. This usually means that you can't easily cantrip it to death, meaning it encourages using a leveled spell OR you can have a high strength character bully the Pebblit into blowing up. You can also create a scenario as a DM for the players to easily trigger a Pebblit to blow up. This approach is intended to make Pebblits stand out from other stat blocks. This meant making it a bit trickier to harm with conventional weapons to encourage using its Involuntary Destruction.
