Talk:Staff of Explosion (5e Equipment)

Charge usage[edit]
I have a question: What happens if you use all ten charges at once? And could you throw the staff and make it explode with massive damage? I'm really fascinated by weapons like this that utilize fire in a way that you wouldn't immediately think of, so I ask these questions. And how come Twinned Spell isn't on the list of metamagic? I like that one. :) --Flamestarter (talk) 19:46, 14 May 2020 (MDT)
- So the staff is designed to disintegrate if you roll unlucky when the last charge is used, so yes you can use all the charges at once fore a giant explosion, but doing so risks the staff being either useless, or destroyed. --AriaVehemente (talk) 14:11, 28 May 2020 (MDT)
- Twinned spell isn't listed because I didn't want a player able to cast two levels 9 fireballs, though it is my favorite metamagic, it was hard not to add it. --AriaVehemente (talk) 14:12, 28 May 2020 (MDT)
- It's my favorite too. In fact, I put it on my sentient weapon Jorick. --Flamestarter (talk) 03:29, 29 May 2020 (MDT)
