Talk:Squirrel Folk (3.5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Age, Height, and Weight[edit]
This race does not have random starting ages, random height and weight and age effects needs formating correctly. --Sam Kay 12:25, 15 August 2007 (MDT)
- Would you like to do this? --Green Dragon 16:30, 26 August 2007 (MDT)
- Sorted. Took me about a minute or two... --Sam Kay 05:34, 4 September 2007 (MDT)
- Thanks a lot. --Green Dragon 23:37, 5 September 2007 (MDT)
- No problem! --Sam Kay 10:52, 6 September 2007 (MDT)
Ability Score Adjustments[edit]
Odd racial ability score adjustments are a no-no. Also, Small races typically have a penalty to Strength. Is there something specific about squirrel folk that make them stronger than other Small races? —Sledged (talk) 12:47, 15 August 2007 (MDT)
- Should be more than a +1 LA race as well. I would sugest an LA of +2 or mabe even 3, a -2 Str penalty, and making the 3s into 4s. --Sam Kay 14:14, 15 August 2007 (MDT)
- I reverted 3ntropy's edits since they did not look constructive (actually they looked like spam...). --Green Dragon 16:41, 16 August 2007 (MDT)
- good. I was wondering about them myself... They seemed rather strange. --Sam Kay 11:22, 29 August 2007 (MDT)
Balance[edit]
This race has few balance issues. First, Fearful Evasiveness and Constant Fear together mean that this race has a constant +1 morale bonus to AC. Second, Protective Instinct turns a negative status into a positive one; a status that is more like to happen because of they have a -4 penalty to saves against fear. There are also a few other thing (never flat footed, +3 to initiative and reflex, ability score adjustments, etc.) that are questionable. I know there are some major drawbacks, but a LA 0 race shouldn't have this many traits or racial traits this nuts. — saint23thomas – 17:28, 24 July 2014 (MDT)
- I think this "race" is supposed to be a little "unusual".--63.142.67.85 17:33, 19 August 2015 (MDT)
- I think this race is supposed to be a little broken. -- 184.16.137.101 13:31, 25 August 2015 (MDT)

I wish there was a 5e version of this. --Redrum 14:13, 15 December 2018 (MST)
