POINT CALCULATION SYSTEM: all races have a point calculation system, (a asi is 1 point and something negative is -.5 a language is .5, stuff like that, this calculated the slime girl comes out to 4 wtihtout what i added.)

the calculated score for this race is a total of 4 some suggestions to make it a average of 5.5/6 (on par with most others)

.5 point: Spiderclimb. The Slime Girl can climb difficult surfaces including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

or

1.5 points: Blindsight. You can see life forms trough any space provided it is within ninety feet. and are able to preceive your surroundings with your other senses (smell, touch, sound)

or

.5 points: Squisy. You can squeeze trough a space of no less than one inch in space provided you take one minute to do it. cannot be done in combat

each one would fit well with the race and even all 3 would bring it up to a even 6 which would be in line with many other races

im going to add these features, but know they arent with the original one, it just makes sense in a balance and logical point of view

What is the balance system you are using here? I don't understand how you are quantifying features. --Kydo (talk) 06:57, 31 August 2016 (MDT)
It looks like an imitation of my rating system, but gets it wrong. A generally useful trait gets a 1 (a skill proficiency, darkvision). A trait that is useful in a limited capacity gets half a point (weapon or armor proficiencies, proficiency on a sub-use of a skill). Using this, all the PHB races roughly get an average score of 4.
For this race, I get:
  • Spiderclimb - 1 - this is very useful in most enviroments (and arguably better than flight in a typical dungeon)
  • Squooshy - 1 - resistance to a common damage type
  • Ooze type - .5 - grants immunity to some spells (such as charm person, hold person)
  • Squishy - 1 - Another very useful mobility trait. Might be lowered to .5 depending on what happens to their equipment? (i.e. do they have take off armor, weapon)
  • Subrace - 1 - resistance to a common damage type
So I would say it's about right as it is. Marasmusine (talk) 08:02, 31 August 2016 (MDT)
It looks like it's quantifying racial traits relative to ASIs, and assumes 6, (the human's total ASI) to be representative of the standard. --Kydo (talk) 13:37, 31 August 2016 (MDT)
I looked at it at some point, and there is something, apparently made on Reddit. On the other hand, I would like to see Marasmusine's rating system too. Berzul (talk) 13:55, 31 August 2016 (MDT)
This is all very cool. However, perhaps this discussion should be taken to the Race Design Guide, considering we're getting off-topic. --Kydo (talk) 14:04, 31 August 2016 (MDT)

This page and Slimefolk (5e Race) are extremely similar; do we maybe want to merge them together? — Geodude671 (talk | contribs)‎ . . 14:22, 11 August 2017 (MDT)

It's been several days and no one's objected, so I'm going to merge this page into Slimefolk (5e Race). — Geodude671 (talk | contribs)‎ . . 16:36, 16 August 2017 (MDT)
