Talk:Shadowfolk (4e Race)

I really like the idea (have previously done something similar myself), but this doesn't follow the proper template (mixing 3rd and 4th edition information) and is slightly unbalanced; the +5 on charisma-based skill checks against Elves isn't really explained, and seems out of place (why would they get it when Elves don't, and +5 is a quite a big bonus). Could do with more fluff to make them seem more like a standalone race rather than just "Halflings that look like little drow". It's also probably worth noting that this race doesn't really favour the Ranger as much as it does Rogue or Sorceror. -- Indigo

Issue for balance[edit]

The Fey affinity trait is quite powerful, the race has a total of +5 to bluff against elves and some settings may consider Eladrin and Drow to also be elves. Fey affinity could be turned into a feat of some definition for the race and the trait simply removed. --Aitharious (talk) 15:16, 6 September 2016 (MDT)
