Shade was a Shadowfolk Assassin, the oldest of three children in the foster home, he always took what he wanted from them without so much as a second thought. He had been caught several times, but he has never faced repercussions when he had tried to steal from the Emperor, and was killed in the following chase (it happened during the day.
Sharmeine is a Shadowfolk Vampire. The biological twin sister of Shade, she watched from the sidelines as her brother was hunted down and killed. She swore revenge on the Emperor, finally gaining that revenge many years later, when she finally was able to hunt down and kill him, as well as all of the others who had had a hand in killing her brother all those years ago. This kill, however, left her feeling empty inside, and so she went deeply into religion, hoping to learn a new lifestyle that could allow her to gain back that feeling inside she had lost from her departed brother.
