- You can propose a page to be merged with another one. If the admin considers them similar enough, or if it is a good proposal, then the pages will be merged by that admin. --Green Dragon (talk) 08:45, 11 June 2018 (MDT)
Stub[edit]
"The characteristics do not even touch on the full range of motivations and complications of this line of work, and assume that this is a happy glamorous anime show life." While I agree with this sentiment, and think that the rest of the stub is valid, I don't think that this sentence is relevant to the page being a stub. If it wants to be Happy Glamorous Anime Show Life Sex Worker, I don't see how that affects its objective quality. Would changing the name to Happy Glamorous Anime Show Life Sex Worker (5e Background) resolve this issue? Or something shorter along those lines? I'm not trying to be difficult and am open to suggestions!--GamerAim (talk) 14:15, 11 June 2018 (MDT)
- For a start, the description does not ask any of the questions that a background should ask. From the PHB: "The most important question to ask about your background is what changed? Why did you stop doing whatever your background describes and start adventuring?"
- Next, it is frustrating how immature the material is. What the hell does "With great body, comes great responsibility" mean? How is someone supposed to roleplay that as an ideal?
- Look, I don't know a great deal about the topic, but I don't think it describes very well the different kinds of sex workers that might exist in the campaign. Just off the top of my head:
- 1) I worked in a brothel under the supervision of a madam.
- 2) I specialized in a particular kind of fetish.
- 3) I was a slave in a temple.
- 4) I was frequently an escort for a high-status client.
- 5) I was a camp follower, servicing the soldiers of an army.
- 6) I performed erotic dances in a seedy tavern.
- I guess that's for starters. Marasmusine (talk) 08:58, 12 June 2018 (MDT)
