It's ALIIIIIVE!!! Muah, ha ha! Okay, but seriously. I've finished this class, but I'm not certain how OP it might be. Any expert opinions on the matter? I'd be willing to add alterations to the class depending on your feedback. --Supersmily5 (talk) 16:41, 20 April 2019 (MDT)

Okay, so an anonymous user altered the page, although incompletely, adding "unless you make a constitution saving throw" to the end of the Near Omniscience feature in the Awakened subclass. For context, the feature gives you more powerful seeing abilities, by letting you see a vision of the events you ask about rather than simply getting an answer. Taking damage ends the vision prematurely, by forcing you out of your trance with the sharp pain, but not before getting the original question's answer. Given that the two subclasses are meant to be mostly the same with only one major difference in how the seeing is done, adding this change to one and not the other puts the subclasses more off balance, as I haven't used the class and can't confirm if the two need rebalancing. There's also the problem that the DC for the save and the parameters that might change that DC (If any) are never given, making the change unable to be used. If you'd like this change to be made, I'd like to know your reasoning as to why, and how you might go about finishing the change to make it playable. --Supersmily5 (talk) 22:12, 20 April 2019 (MDT)

Version 2![edit]

SO I learned recently that held actions require your reaction to work, and also remembered that reaction spells exist. To avoid abuse and confusion that wouldn't make sense in the context of the game anyway (Yeah, I'm holding a spell, but I can still stab you because you left my range?), I've updated the Reactive class feature to ensure no such shenanigans occur. If you were already using the class this way, I apologize for the nerf, and you're welcome to ignore it if you've already worked that out with your DM, but otherwise it definitely needed changing. --Supersmily5 (talk) 11:40, 4 July 2019 (MDT)

I also added Crown of Madness, Fireball, Cloudkill, Mordenkainen's Sword, Crown of Stars, and Meteor Swarm to the spell list, because I guess I just somehow forgot them? Hopefully that doesn't mess with the game balance too much. --Supersmily5 (talk) 12:02, 4 July 2019 (MDT)

Finally, I added a mention of being able to read and write in your spellbook in the Awakened Seer Archetype, to clear up a possible paradox between you being blind and having a spellbook. Otherwise the class would be basically unplayable without making at least one assumption, which I'd prefer avoiding. --Supersmily5 (talk) 12:22, 4 July 2019 (MDT)

Version 3![edit]

Okay, so I figured out while doing some calculation why I didn't add the above spells originally. Because that's supposed to be the weakness of the class, not having the more powerful damage spells in the game. To remedy this, I'm going to replace Fireball, Cloudkill, and Meteor Swarm with level appropriate Cleric spells, because the class definitely needs some healing and less damage. I'm leaving Crown of Madness, Mordenkainen's Sword, and Crown of Stars in though, because they're appropriate and in the case of Mordenkainen's Sword, suboptimal any way. --Supersmily5 (talk) 08:22, 3 August 2019 (MDT)

So I ended up adding Daylight and Holy Weapon in place of Fireball and Cloudkill, and simply removing Meteor Swarm. I didn't want to give them healing spells because that would definitively make them stepping on the Cleric's turf. I was going to add True Resurrection in place of Meteor Swarm, until it turned out the class already had that one soooo... yeah. The replacements are not too bad, Holy Weapon is less effective than Cloudkill but could be brutal on their own weapons so it made sense. I feel like THIS should be the last tweak the class should ever need, unless it turns out to be overpowered or something. --Supersmily5 (talk) 08:33, 3 August 2019 (MDT)

Version 4! Apparently![edit]

After an overhaul on page code for this website, it would seem the coding for this page became outdated. However, thanks to Coaldstone, much of what was broken or incorrect coding has been fixed. While I was here though, I decided to lower the maximum number of cantrips known from 6 to 5. It doesn't make sense to be able to have that many cantrips when the original class was loosely based on Wizard, not Sorcerer. I also changed the window of when you learn new cantrips, making it a much simpler once every 5 levels. This contrasts with other spellcasting classes, who typically learn new cantrips at levels 4 and 10 and no more. Since this is essentially a fighting spellcaster class, I thought it made sense. --Supersmily5 (talk) 13:07, 2 October 2019 (MDT)

Added Counterspell because why didn't I do that in the first place? --Supersmily5 (talk) 21:06, 28 November 2019 (MST)

Version 5! New Subclass![edit]

I added a new subclass (Fragile), inspired by the image of the seer so focused on their work that they appear gaunt and unhealthy. And also Epithet Erased, but this isn't an Epithet subclass, sorry. I also gave the Seer Archetype a bit of flavor text to make the subclass a truly unique choice, since in essence you're choosing (Or maybe it was chosen for you or something) something that you sacrifice to become a seer. --Supersmily5 (talk) 16:16, 13 December 2019 (MST)

Version 6! Yes, Apparently There Are 6 Now![edit]

I removed the 5th cantrip from level 15. Seers get so much other stuff that 5 cantrips seems excessive. --Supersmily5 (talk) 11:30, 5 June 2020 (MDT)

Altered Know The Way to give you blindsight outright, instead of the more ambiguous wording of the original feature. --Supersmily5 (talk) 12:11, 5 June 2020 (MDT)

I'm cleaning up the Reactive, Predictions, Nailed It and Hammered It features. They've turned out to be superfluous. I'm also adding the Divination spell, because obviously, it's basically a simpler version of future sight; And also the Wall of Force spell. Finally, I've removed the 3rd extra attack, so it's just two now. --Supersmily5 (talk) 13:08, 5 June 2020 (MDT)
