Talk:Saru No Otoko (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Creating A Saru No Otoko Character[edit]
Summary[edit]
I will be walking you through this in steps, and explaining for one class. I will not be explaining for any of the homebrew classes on this website. Keep in mind that This is just a template and for those reading this, I advise you to try your own character in stead of copying mine.
Step One[edit]
Pick a Subrace
You're going to want to know what subrace you want to play before making the character. That can have a major effect on what class you're going to play as (see "Step Two"). I have chosen the Forest Saru No Otoko.
Step Two[edit]
Pick a Class
You're going to want to have a class in mind when you choose this race. Even before you roll your attributes. I'm going to select the Ranger class for this example.
Step Three[edit]
Roll Your Attributes
As a Ranger, you're going to want Dexterity to be the highest. Wisdom and Strength should be next.
I rolled the following numbers
18, 13, 18, 16, 15, 17
Step Four[edit]
Determine Attributes
Strength:16
Dexterity: 20(+5)
(17+2+1)
Constitution: 18
Intelligence: 15
Wisdom: 20(+5)
(18+2)
Charisma: 13
Race Capitalization, Etc[edit]
This race isn't from some franchise that capitalizes its name so it has no reason to break race capitalization rules. Some of the edits to the mountain subrace also make it better than the other subraces, which breaks the balance for the race.--Yanied (talk) 21:06, 28 January 2021 (MST)
