Is the 12 cubic feet thing a typo, or is this safe the size of one of those cartoony bank safes commonly seen in video games?

If so, shouldn't this be just a tad bit more than 75 gp?

Let’s say Mr. Rich the Dwarf Artistocrat decides to fill the bank with 12 cubic feet of nothing but steel from the dwarven mines and forges his brother owns. Assuming the bank isn’t going to turn into an anvil heading straight to the other side of the Earth, that’s 800 thousand pounds. You are confusing your units. 12 cubic feet is not 12 feet, cubed, it is 12 cubes, each 1x1x1 foot in dimension. So a safe with a volume of "12 cubic feet" would actually be just a bit over 2 feet (the cube root of 12) on each side, which is much more reasonable. 2601:285:4100:14B0:E4D:1B7A:A766:31F2 01:18, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
