Talk:Ring of Decay (3.5e Equipment)

Is there a spellcraft DC or identify level that would allow the observer to discover the true nature of the ring? Maybe even a perception roll that allows the viewer to see some telling mark of the curse? I'd hope that there'd be some fighting chance to avoid this catastrophe. I do like how the false enchantment gives the victim the impression of gaining more life, then ends up draining it. Poetic irony.

This item should corrupt a hand of glory, toes, and should pierce the user's body (ears, eyebrows, nose, nipples, belly button, genitals) in continually advanced places. Just because the user's fingers are gone does not mean that this curse stops being effective... Though, that could be too harsh for the more lenient DM.--JRCameron 14:31, 17 October 2011 (MDT)
