Talk:Rhox (3.5e Race)

Comments on Balance[edit]
Racial ability scores are never odd numbers. This is primarily because ability scores grant bonuses based on a difference of 2. Other reasons pop up from point buy systems. I really don't want to go into it, but yeah, its a bad thing. Bump those up to 2s for a guaranteed in-game effect on the PCs stats. Also, base land speed of 35 is also a no no. If I have a heavy load or would otherwise be encumbered as a Rhox, what would my speed drop down to? See SRD:Carrying Capacity#Armor and Encumbrance for Other Base Speeds for where problems develop. You could fill in 25 feet as an encumbered speed, such, but what if he's a barbarian, or has a pair of boots that grant +10 to his land speed? What if something reduces his speed by half? Anyways, just go with 40 feet. Finally, a question here: Where do the numbers from Holy Charge come from? How did you choose those numbers for the bonuses? --Ganteka 12:47, 3 August 2009 (MDT)
