April Fools Theme[edit]

For which themes of D&D games is this designed for? I can't imagine anything other than a funny joke filled campaign with all sorts of bizarrities, thus I will mark this with {{April Fools}}. --Green Dragon (talk) 11:52, 13 September 2022 (MDT)

The Ragnarok and AUX was a homebrew item I made for my dragonborn paladin bard, and I thought that if he was going to be a dragon bard, it was going to be metal. So, I had made this item for a Bounty Hunting campaign somebody I knew was running. Our DM already gave me a pocket dimension sword, a mount that is a moose, so I don't really think that the most metal guitar ever would be a stretch. The theme for game this item is a for a war campaign, for music to be ringing out across the battlefield in one glorious final charge. Also a magic item on a variant on bard, the metalhead. At this point, I'm considering making a metal head college for bards. --Willzabub 4:40 pm, September 13, 2022 (ET)
Nevermind I found a metalhead bardic college. [1]

Do you intend to do anything further with this page, or are you done with it entirely? --Nuke The Earth (talk) 18:31, 13 September 2022 (MDT)
Right now I'm trying to balance it out to appease my DM, but for now yes. --Willzabub 7:57 am, September 14, 2022 (ET)

Image is NOT working.[edit]

I need some help on getting the image to work for Ragnarok. I would appreciate any help! --Willzabub (talk) 11:29, 16 September 2022 (MDT)

These revisions make me warm and fuzzy on the inside.[edit]

Thank you, to everyone that has been contributing to my item. I love how Ragnarok can make another homunculus if one is killed, has charges now, balances are spectacular, and this can be used in any legitimate campaign now! I can't wait to send this updated page to my DM, and once again thank you all! --Willzabub (talk) 05:37, 20 September 2022 (MDT)

she said no, but continues to let me have a pocket dimension sword (that she gave me) and a moose mount. what a world! --Willzabub (talk) 08:32, 21 September 2022 (MDT)

Balancing Changes[edit]

What would I have to change to keep my item, Ragnarok & AUX (5e Equipment) as an uncommon item? I just wanted to know so I could make those changes, respectively. --Willzabub (talk) 08:23, 20 September 2022 (MDT)

I took this from my user talk page to the talk page here, as it just made more sense. I just feel like it has too many features to be uncommon. The built-in homunculus is already a big plus, and with so many different features being able to be used at will, it's very strong for an uncommon magic item. If you cut out Blak Sab'batõn's Metal Protection and make Power Chord use charges, as well as undo the buffs I made when I made it rare, it would probably be viable as an uncommon magic item. I'll let you make that decision, though. You're the main contributor of the page. If you want me to make those changes, I will, but I won't do it without your consent first. Or you can make them. Or we can leave it as is, as currently it's a very valid rare magic item. Your choice. --MarshDASavage (talk) 10:25, 20 September 2022 (MDT)
Could you only do the charges for Power Chord, that would be nice. I'm trying to think of a replacement ability for metal protection, so if you could come up with any ideas as well that would be great. --Willzabub (talk) 08:30, 21 September 2022 (MDT)
Alright, cool. I went ahead and nerfed it enough to make it an uncommon magic item by reducing the number of charges, reducing the DC for Power Chord, and undoing all the buffs I added to make it rare. I still say, for balancing sake, you should probably just cut it entirely and not replace it with anything. Anything similar that I can think of is pretty strong and could be an entire uncommon magic item of its own. This is already very strong for an uncommon item, so keeping Metal Protection or any similar feature kind of pushes it over the edge. I put the feature in comments for now, just so it doesn't appear on the official page, but it is still there i the editing page if you want to review it or tweak it. --MarshDASavage (talk) 16:35, 21 September 2022 (MDT)
The Bracers of Blak Sab'batõn? They are a black leather bracers with metal spikes running around the bracers, or any other ideas. Practically just a set of bracers that can make a mage hand rock llama and give you a +2 to AC whenever you are hit with an attack. --Willzabub (talk) 05:33, 22 September 2022 (MDT)
What do you think of The Bracers of Blak Sab'batõn (5e Equipment)? I went ahead and stole the Metal Protection ability, and changed it up a bit. Also added a damage buff to the attacks, dealing 1d4 lightning damage on a hit. --Willzabub (talk) 05:54, 22 September 2022 (MDT)
