Balance[edit]
Any capability that lets a player use two cantrips in a turn, without limit or careful consideration, is going to end up being pretty overpowered. Any of the following things are possible with this feat, any one of which alone is arguably too powerful to be a feat even if that's all the feat did:
- After 5th level, casting two fire bolts every single turn makes anyone with this spell the most damaging person in a standard party. It's an average of 22 damage across a range of 120 feet, every turn without expending any resources whatsoever. It only gets worse as levels increase.
- One can cast true strike every turn as a bonus action, giving an effective +5 to the first attack roll you make every single turn. If you have a rogue's sneak attack, you can literally always use your sneak with practifcally every attack—in addition to getting that roughly +5 bonus to hit.
- One can cast blade ward every turn as a bonus action, which in most combats will halves all the damage you take (which for several reasons is better than having double your normal hit points).
- You can use your action to Dodge every turn while still firing off fire bolt or shocking grasp cantrips with your bonus actions.
Componding all of this is that cantrips aren't exclusive to spellcasters or those who multiclass. An elf can pick up any wizard cantrip without multiclassing. The Spellcasting Initiate feat lets you gain two cantrips from any one class.
This feat might be balanced if it any of its effects could only be used three times per day (or less). As it is though it can be pretty game-breaking. - Guy (talk) 22:07, 14 July 2017 (MDT)

Potentially too strong. For an Eldritch Knight fighter, this is even more powerful than its 18th-level feature. WeirdoWhoever (talk)
- Hardly. The Eldritch Knight's Improved War Magic feature can be used indefinitely. User:Sir Dinadan
- The difference of Eldritch Knight's Improved War Magic feature and this feat is, Improved War Magic allows you to make one weapon attack when casting a spell, whereas this feat allows you to use an Attack action to make attacks, meaning that a fighter can make up to four weapon attacks after casting a spell. - Broadly speaking feats in 5e are divided into two categories, indefinites and three-timers. Logically the latter is stronger than the former. (I remind you that some features like the Great Weapon Master and rogue's Cunning Action offer very powerful and indefinite options for bonus action).
