Talk:Pugilist (3.5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
I like this class. With a little cleaning and maybe some artwork, I think it should eventually get a featured nomination. JMO.-- Irykyl 10:08, 24 February 2012 (MST)

Rating[edit]
Balance - 3/5. With a high con score, this class becomes so tough that most encounters are no threat. Especially after the iron jaw special ability kicks in.
Wording - 4/5. The only thing awkward is the damage reduction, it is not specified what type of damage bypasses the reduction. As a DM I have ruled that anything beyond normal weapon damage bypasses it(silver, fire, acid, magic, etc), I am considering changing it to only reducing normal blunt damage.
Flavor - 5/5. Perfect class to represent a pit fighter/boxer/martial arts fighter that doesn't have to follow the theme breaking role of a monk.
Overall - 4/5. With balance correction on the damage reduction this class would get 5/5
