Talk:Polepick (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
This seems to be a much better halberd as you can choose which damage type this weapon deals and it has armor piercing 2.--Blobby383b (talk) 16:30, 14 May 2018 (MDT)
- The higher cost isn't much of a balancing point, considering under default rules fighters and some other classes can start with "any martial weapon." - Guy (talk) 16:49, 14 May 2018 (MDT)
In response to the recent edit: The few creatures which don't have armor or natural armor usually have a really low AC anyway, so, personally, I value any kind of armor piercing to be very valuable. It's a +1 bonus to attack rolls in most cases, which is very significant in 5e. I think 1d8 damage would be a better value for this weapon considering that, but, even with 2d4, I don't think it's so powerful that it would require a Template:Needsbalance or something. - Guy (talk) 18:41, 14 May 2018 (MDT)
Thematically, it's just a Bec de Corbin with a different name. PunnyDM12 (talk) 21:22, 21 November 2018 (MST)
