Talk:Pillar (5e Spell)

What does one pillar look like, and how narrow is it? How difficult is it to destroy a pillar (hit points); does it depend on the surface its created from? How much does one weigh? Why would its creation deal damage to a creature 5 feet away from it? Why does it deal so much damage compared to other multi-target cantrips like acid splash? With even a couple minutes of prep time, wouldn't this cantrip allow the creation of a barricade with dozens or even hundreds of pillars?

It reads as though the material which composes the pillar is "from" the surface its created upon. If this is true, couldn't this spell be used to instantly but permanently create duplicates of raw material that could then be sold? It wouldn't be too difficult for a resourceful party to make a small floor out of copper, silver, or gold. - Guy 07:05, 12 June 2019 (MDT)

Damn I didn't think all that through huh. I'll get to work on addressing all that. --Moth 17:48, 12 June 2019
