Price[edit]

I know that a pen that can produce endless ink must be fairly valuable, but isn't 70 gp a bit expensive? I even calculated it out, and found that it would be worth 21,915 U.S. dollars (and sixty cents). --Calibri (talk) 11:55, 2 June 2018 (MDT)

On the flip side to that, a pen of endless ink provides you with free ink for the wizard's spellbook. Writing a 2nd level spell by itself into the book takes 100 gp.--Blobby383b (talk) 13:54, 2 June 2018 (MDT)
Touche. --Calibri (talk) 17:23, 2 June 2018 (MDT)

The pen is a common magic item, which has a range of 50-100 GP. However, I also didn't make it to be fine inks like that needed for transcribing spells (Only because I didn't consider that when making it, not because of being inherently against the idea). Either way, it's a neat trinket, that's all. Don't read too hard into it. --Supersmily5 (talk) 17:42, 2 June 2018 (MDT)

Ha! You have underestimated my power! Reading too hard into things is my speciality! --Calibri (talk) 10:54, 3 June 2018 (MDT)
Yep, in general you do have to think of how balanced the item would be at its best. Either way, the item likely needs a short statement about how the pen's ink can't be used for magic(ie spellbooks, spell scrolls, or anything else I may be forgetting).--Blobby383b (talk) 13:42, 3 June 2018 (MDT)
