Talk:Oath of the Eternal Flame (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
This was just a dream I had. If someone could turn the Oath Spells into a table, that would be great, and if someone could add [image], that would be great too. Let me know what you guys think! --OwenLeaf (talk) 12:32, 5 February 2015 (MST)
I've changed the spells so they more broadly reflect the tenets (rather than be purely fire attacks). Command and geas represent "leadership"; continual flame represents "respect the fire"; and revivify represents "rebirth". If anyone has any better fits, let me know. I think that we should change the seventh-level power to something like innately casting Protection from Evil and Good once per day, and at 18th level it could be always on for you, like a revamped Oath of Devotion (I think) power. --OwenLeaf (talk) 09:37, 27 March 2015 (MDT)
- Okay, sounds good. 1 day till the deadline! Marasmusine (talk) 13:15, 27 March 2015 (MDT)
- I've tried to do something that isn't just casting the spell (otherwise we may as well just put it in their spell list) Marasmusine (talk) 13:44, 27 March 2015 (MDT)
- Hmm, I noticed that the Oath of Devotion also has a protection from good and evil effect, I feel the crossover is a little awkward. Marasmusine (talk) 14:57, 27 March 2015 (MDT)
- Okay OwenLeaf, this is the revision I'm putting in the magazine. I wasn't quite comfortable with the lasers and meteor strike, but we can work them in later. The vulnerability to fire that the phoenix aura I think will be quite powerful when combined with the paladin's other fire attacks. Thanks! Marasmusine (talk) 16:02, 28 March 2015 (MDT)
