Talk:No U (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
Confused[edit]
I know this has April Fool's on it but its counterspell, except cheaper and a specific verbal component. You just need to say "no you" when you cast counterspell. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 10:22, 27 August 2018 (MDT)
Nah bro[edit]
Counterspell just cancels the spell being cast. No U is like stealing the spell and sending it back at the caster (I should probably make that clearer in the actual spell page.) They are very similar, though, and I'm almost sure that a spell just like this one has been made before. --Bigpiggyboy (talk) 16:59, 27 August 2018 (MDT)
- I'm pretty sure that BSFM's primary point is that this spell is too powerful for a 1st level spell, considering it's fundamentally better than a spell of 3rd level (specifically counterspell). Your response only solidified that, it seems. - Guy 19:31, 27 August 2018 (MDT)
- 100% true. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 23:13, 27 August 2018 (MDT)
- Yes, it is very overpowered, but it's also mainly just a joke spell. It'll be pretty overpowered at any level, but I guess I'll move it up to 4th just to have it make a bit more sense. --Bigpiggyboy (talk) 08:10, 28 August 2018 (MDT)
