Talk:Nauseate (5e Spell)

This might just be me, but the main effect here is a bit wonky. "Nausea creates disadvantage on physical activities unless the target succeeds a CON save, which is made at the start of every consecutive turn of the target." Disadvantage on physical activties in my opinion should just be disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. As it stands, a Constitution save—which is arguably physical in nature—could arguably have disadvantage under this effect. That would already cause this spell, which has no defined duration, to last even more turns than it otherwise would be able.

I think the spell would be better if it had a duration of "Concentration, up to 1 minute"; specifically poisoned the target; had a single Con save to negate the effect at the beginning and at the end of each of the creature's turns. It's simpler and makes more sense, but still achieves the same effect. - Guy (talk) 03:34, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
