Talk:Mystic Theurge (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
I looked for what I thought was a good option for creating a Mystic Theurge in 5e, and, not finding any to my liking, I created this. It is simple and I think it makes sense and is easy to picture in the fiction of Dungeons and Dragons.JPBulloch (talk) 00:05, 17 October 2017 (MDT)
- Actually, prestige classes were introduced in an issue of Unearthed Arcana. I myself have made three 5e prestige classes for the wiki. I'm even working on a Mystic Theurge PrC for 5e, though I may have to take inspiration from other classes, maybe the Arcane Heirophant. The original mystic theurge doesn't give much to work with. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 00:07, 17 October 2017 (MDT)
I see that someone has marked this page as a stub. Being new to the Wiki, I would appreciate some feedback as to what makes it a stub. It has every feature necessary for an Arcane Tradition. In keeping with the 3.5e version of Mystic Theurge, the Archetype sacrifices normal Class Abilities for extra spellcasting versatility in the form of spells per day and spell points (or spell slots). It seems short at first glance, but that is because each of the Arcane Tradition Features is an advancement of the same two Features, it still provides new abilities (in the form of Cleric Spell advancement) at levels 2, 6, 10, and 14, just like any other Wizard Archetype.JPBulloch (talk) 00:18, 17 October 2017 (MDT)
- I guess I missed that. Sorry, will remove. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 00:40, 17 October 2017 (MDT)
