I followed a link in the 3.5 homebrew section so my comments are limited to that edition.

Moradin is listed in:

Complete Divine page 115 (3.5)
Faths and Pantheons page 121 (FR 3.0)

Aren't these considered canon? If so, then why is he listed as homebrew?

He is the head of the dwarven pantheon with entries in canon sources as far back as 1e.
